Well the sun was out yesterday so we opted to make a trip south to visit my sister… did some calling and got around and left about 10:30 or so… The roads were really nasty… the snow form the day before was melting pretty good and that caused it to be constant wet and so every car in front and passing coated the windshield with nasty slop… Before we got out of town I caught this huge blowup ambulance…
other than it is fuzzy can you tell it was done in the rearview mirror…
While in Florence I did get one or two pictures of things going on there and should have gotten one of my lunch… but didn’t… for lunch we went to Rose Bud cafe in downtown and had some homemade green chile on various things… I had the SLOPPER… to match the day… it was a open face burger covered in green chili and Sherrie had a “small” breakfast burrito… well small meant it was bigger than most you get anywhere … we saw a regular and it covered a very large plate… no room for anything else…
on never knows what you might find in some of these towns.. lot of work on a old dead tree trunk..
That train can’t make up it’s mind… going on both directions… once they get it figured out they should be able to move a bit faster… good thing trains don’t care what direction they point as they can go the same front or back and share the load…
I said the roads were sloppy… and the sides are worse as well as the windows…
it will need a good washing soon…
When we got back I spent some time shoveling and shipping off the front drive… the kids drive is a big slope up to the garage and I was spinning the tires and had to get an across the street run at it and pray I could get in the garage with out hitting something… made it but figured that I needed to get some of that stuff off and hope the sun helps clear it off a bit…
Today… we were baby sitters… I made it out and picked up breakfast biscuits from Carl’s and then had to get some stuff to put inside storm windows on the basement windows to help hold out some of the cold… so went to Wal-Mart and picked up some cheap film to put on the insides… I got that done and not much else today as it decided to snow some more… off and on and sun and cloud… supposed to be clear tomorrow?
They say the I-70 was shut down due to the snow… glad we were not traveling today… wait for Monday and hit a better, warmer day… tomorrow? more babysitting…
