Had a great Christmas, not too exciting not too boring and we all seemed happy with our gifts, especially the Grandson.&nbsp; We went down on Saturday.&nbsp; Had the the major Santa Claus moment for the Grand Son Sunday Morning. He was a <strong>bit<\/strong> worried that he really needed to be good Saturday, I tried to explain that he needed to be good all the <strong>time<\/strong> and that put a <strong>bit<\/strong> more worry in his eyes.&nbsp; We loafed most of the rest of the <strong>day<\/strong> except for some <strong>time<\/strong> in the HOT <strong>TUB<\/strong> so that we all came out looking like prunes.&nbsp; It was cold out and it was a 15 yard dash to get to the tub but I made it and got in before everything froze off.&nbsp; I was a <strong>bit<\/strong> worried about the return <strong>trip<\/strong> but I guess I have enough fat that soaked up that heat that I was able to get back to the house ok, although the concrete we walked on with wet feet was damn cold.&nbsp; Then Sunday evening we had the remainder of the Family Christmas.&nbsp; Well not all of it some of it is promised to be done right after the new year as we got certificates for them that will be filled with \u201clife-<strong>time<\/strong>\u201d Alumni certificates then.&nbsp; One of those things that what do you give grown kids that already have more than they need.&nbsp; Giving money seems pointless, giving gift cards is only good for the card companies, and all other items are destined to be the wrong color, <strong>size<\/strong>, kind, etc.&nbsp; Hitting on the correct gift for adults is near impossible.&nbsp; This way we got <strong>something<\/strong> that none of them would have gotten as they are either too cheap, can\u2019t see the use, or can\u2019t afford anyway so we <strong>hit<\/strong> it all this way and they can\u2019t take it back so we score <strong>one<\/strong> also\u2026 <\/p>\n<p>For the evening meal\u2026. Chinese what else.&nbsp; I wonder how much extra money the Chinese restaurants <strong>make<\/strong> on Christmas <strong>day<\/strong>?&nbsp; They may <strong>make<\/strong> a whole months worth of income off that <strong>one<\/strong> <strong>day<\/strong>, and another amazing fact is, people that go to those places on that <strong>day<\/strong> are so upset that service is slow?&nbsp; <strong>DUH<\/strong>! if you fixed your own meals you wouldn\u2019t have to wait so put up with the wait and smile, The workers on that <strong>day<\/strong> are getting <strong>run<\/strong> ragged putting up with all the lazy whiners.&nbsp; How do you think they <strong>feel<\/strong> about it? <\/p>\n<p>We watched a few movies, of <strong>course<\/strong> they watched Christmas Vacation.&nbsp; We lamed around and even let that <strong>run<\/strong> into Monday.&nbsp; Which of <strong>course<\/strong> we did almost nothing.&nbsp; Some watched movies, some did a little after shopping, I did a little reading and playing \u201crockem-sockem\u201d I didn\u2019t know those things were still made?&nbsp; (no batteries needed).&nbsp; We took in <strong>one<\/strong> of the local Mexican restaurants for dinner Monday and Today we wasted about half the <strong>day<\/strong> and started <strong>home<\/strong>.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>On the way <strong>home<\/strong>, actually&nbsp; not too far down the road on <strong>HWY<\/strong> 380, we saw <strong>something<\/strong> fly either out or off or around a pickup pulling a open <strong>trailer<\/strong>.&nbsp; In this <strong>trailer<\/strong> were parts for a fireplace and maybe a few tools, <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>nothing<\/strong> else could be seen there but we got <strong>hit<\/strong> by a wad of fairly fresh <strong>DUNG<\/strong>!\u2026 small piece on the windshield but this really big <strong>one<\/strong> on the front of the car\u2026 <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/2011-12-27-13.12.54.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"2011-12-27 13.12.54\" border=\"0\" alt=\"2011-12-27 13.12.54\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/2011-12-27-13.12.54_thumb.jpg?resize=442%2C332\" width=\"442\" height=\"332\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Our question was where did that come from?&nbsp; I know in the picture it may look like a toad but I can assure you they can\u2019t jump that high.&nbsp;&nbsp; I quizzed, as we continued, that it could have been a <u><em>moon shot<\/em><\/u> out the passenger window that we missed seeing the moon?&nbsp; If it was then they didn\u2019t eat very well for Christmas.&nbsp; I really hate to think it was a <u><em>moon shot,<\/em><\/u> and I am sure it was not a wad of Tobacco, too green.&nbsp; It most likely had to be <strong>something<\/strong> that had been left on the <strong>trailer<\/strong> from some earlier occupants,&nbsp; the freshness of this indicates they had to have been in the <strong>trailer<\/strong> earlier today.&nbsp; Just glad they were not in it when we were behind them as there surely had to be a lot more of that going on?&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>We made it <strong>home<\/strong> with out further incident, got unpacked from our great <strong>trip<\/strong> and settled in for a little rest before another <strong>day<\/strong> brings on more great adventure and sights from from the unknown.&nbsp; &#8211; WD0AJG<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We spent the past +\/- 3 days in Frisco, TX with family.
