Recently had an experience that left me a bit<\/strong> pissed off.  We had gone to a nicer resturant that had served us well a couple<\/strong> of days before.  Note this is associated with work time<\/strong>, away from home.  We arrived and were fairly quickly seated and the drink order<\/strong> taken.  At that point<\/strong> things started slowing down.  It took some time<\/strong> to get the waiter back to place<\/strong> an order<\/strong>.  We got that in, the food arrived in a timely manner and it was ok, but not as good as the first time<\/strong>.  I wonder if returning so quickly had anything<\/strong> to do with the interest in the quality?  Anyway we put that down pretty quickly as we had been out all day<\/strong> and had traveled over 400 miles and spent 5 hours on a location where not much was happening.  Needless to say we all were not in a mood to piss off time<\/strong> waiting as we wanted to get to our rooms and shower and get to bed\u2026 but NOOOOOOOOO<\/strong>!   We got a bill hand<\/strong> written, which by the way when we got the final was incorrect, but they said the system<\/strong> was down and they couldn\u2019t take the credit car<\/strong> or rather they could but had to take the number and turn<\/strong> it in later.  I do not like leaving a credit card deal<\/strong> when I didn\u2019t sign<\/strong> for it.  They fumbled around and I agreed but figured I would just cash<\/strong> the deal<\/strong> with the copy of the receipt for expenses anyway and not use the credit card.  We waited and waited and every so often we figured the waiter was headed back but he would turn<\/strong> to another table\u2026 so we waited some more then they come back and say, the system<\/strong> if coming back up and they will have our bill in a little bit<\/strong>??? ok , that turned into another 20 minutes before we got the bill\u2026 in all total it took them 45 minutes from from the time<\/strong> I gave my credit card for payment until we actually got the bill to sign<\/strong>, but it was a computer generated bill so if they try to stick<\/strong> me I am going<\/strong> to raise HELL<\/strong>\u2026 as I now have a reciept that took and hour and a half<\/strong> to get.  But back to my point<\/strong>, in these cases, how much do you tip?  the service was ok for the meal but the after meal process<\/strong> was almost in-tolerable\u2026 \u2013 WD0AJG  ( I left them about 8%\u2026 half<\/strong> a tip)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
