They (the infamous they) say things come in threes\u2026 so I am sure hoping that I whacked out all of mine for the foreseeable future\u2026 What do you think?<\/p>\n

I had to make a trip to Tulsa for two, count that 2, Doctor appointments\u2026 one<\/strong> at 8:30 and I live almost 1.5 hours away???? that just sucks\u2026<\/p>\n

1.  My trials started at 4AM\u2026 You know when you have something important you can\u2019t sleep and you keep waking up to check<\/strong> the clock\u2026 that was this morning from about 3:30 until 5:30 when I got up\u2026 I left out and knew I had to go get gas first as we had not filled the car<\/strong> last<\/strong> night<\/strong> \u2013 never even thought about it all day<\/strong> Sunday\u2026 mistake #1\u2026<\/p>\n

2.  I got to the Murphy pumps and started the one<\/strong> I pulled up to \u2013 you know there is almost no one<\/strong> there at 6am\u2026 but they were on night<\/strong> service and that means maybe\u2026. 0.1 gallons per minute rate\u2026 but the lady had showed up and she asked that I just stop<\/strong> the flow and she would turn<\/strong> it up\u2026 that worked out ok but I lost about 15 minutes there\u2026<\/p>\n

3.  Got on my way and was doing well, except for the 15 miles of one<\/strong> late 55mph on the toll road<\/strong>\u2026 who knew?<\/p>\n

4.  Was just outside Tulsa and in the dark boxed in with traffic, I hit something in the road<\/strong> and tore up a tire on wife’s car<\/strong>… bawoosh\u2026 flat in seconds and I barely got off the right<\/strong> side<\/strong> of the road<\/strong> (a 4 lane road<\/strong> in the dark on the down side<\/strong> of a hill\u2026 I didn\u2019t drive on down to the intersection (a half<\/strong> mile and ruin the wheel)\u2026 but pulled off into the grass so that only the flat tire (drivers side<\/strong>) was on the shoulder\u2026 still not a safe spot but I hoped\u2026<\/p>\n

5.  I dug out the jack \u2013 never used, the spare , never out and proceeded to get it changed\u2026  not bad in the dark, I got it done in about 25minutes with all that traffic\u2026 . <\/p>\n

6.  Next I missed the turn<\/strong> in the middle<\/strong> of Tulsa due to consistent construction at the 244-75-51-64\u2026.. intersections\u2026 shit\u2026 I looked and the north bound would be impossible to get back on in reverse order<\/strong> and get on\u2026 I took 21st street as it heads east anyway\u2026 not too many stops and not a great deal<\/strong> of traffic\u2026 ok, we might make it..<\/p>\n

7.  Hit the expressway (Broken Arrow)\u2026 and within 1\/4 mile it stopped, almost dead\u2026 heard on the radio then that there was an accident about 2 miles down\u2026 so we would be stop<\/strong> and go, mostly stop<\/strong>, for the next two miles\u2026 I squeezed to the far left as they appeared to be moving\u2026 good choice as the accident was on the far right<\/strong> lane so I did get through that and did get to my appointment at about 5 minutes late\u2026  Strange how when I made that appointment they said they were totally booked up and I had to come in early\u2026 but there was no one<\/strong> in the waiting room and I didn\u2019t see much movement behind?  I turned in my paperwork, and with in 15 minutes was in a room and then the Doctor and that didn\u2019t take long then I had a lab\u2026 oh good. With all that I figured my Blood Pressure would be sky high but it was fine <\/p>\n

8.  Of course they took blood…  left arm jabbed and band<\/strong> aid..<\/p>\n

9.  I then rushed out and had to drive all the way back up to the north side<\/strong> of Tulsa\u2026 I had been on 109 south for the last<\/strong> one<\/strong>\u2026<\/p>\n

10.  This one<\/strong> was in a come and go clinic near the airport – not a nice neighborhood for physical… it was a clinic that specializes in drug and physical tests… so the crowd was not the best and it was full… They had hell<\/strong> finding my paperwork that had been sent to them by UPS\u2026 fortunately I had an email printed out with numbers\u2026<\/p>\n

11.  They check<\/strong> my eyes, ears, pee, etc., poked and probed but no x-rays?  strange\u2026 and They took blood (got both arms bloody and sore) and two band<\/strong> aids now..<\/p>\n

12.  I had to have an EKG<\/strong> as well so \u2013 they have to dry shave me in 8 spots\u2026and even then the damn pads would not stay on\u2026 now I will have an itch in spots I don\u2019t want to scratch\u2026  what the hell<\/strong> next  <\/p>\n

13.  They inform me that most of my shots were old and out of date (who knew some of this was only good for 10 years<\/strong>)\u2026  so had to take nearly all the overseas stuff over, from yellow fever to Hep B and the Flu shot… 4 in one<\/strong> arm and 3 in the other… one<\/strong> of those bled… and 3 more band<\/strong> aids… <\/p>\n

14.  Since I knew I had tests coming they had told me to not eat or drink before\u2026 crap I was thirsty by 1pm\u2026 So went to eat and drink\u2026 should have had some stiff belts but knew I had to drive back and needed another tire\u2026<\/p>\n

15.  After eating I started calling all over to find a tire – Goodyear, 215\/55\/17… no such dog in the show… but they could all order<\/strong> it for Wed or Thurs… although<\/p>\n

16.  the discount tire in Stillwater said they had 2… so drove back, real careful, got there at 3:30… in 45 minutes they couldn’t find the two they were supposed to have… they can order<\/strong> and have it tomorrow<\/strong>…Like shit man I have appointments tomorrow<\/strong> and Wednesday out of town\u2026 I am in Enid to take Dad to 2 Dr. appointments tomorrow<\/strong>… OKC on Wed… ?  <\/p>\n

17.  Talked them into a loaner spare for the two days, get back Wed and maybe get the new one<\/strong> on – that they ordered… and the damn thing<\/strong> is $155 bucks+ mount and tax… and that was cheap as I got quotes for $180, 209, 195….. if the other 3 on the car<\/strong> didn’t have more than half<\/strong> the miles left I would go get some $95 tires for all 4… lets see, $95 on a 50k tire with road<\/strong> hazard is slightly over $400… or $800 for Goodyear and $900 for Mich with 70k mileage??? <\/p>\n

Surely that will qualify for my 3 or maybe 6 or 12 bad occurrences for awhile?  you  think? <\/p>\n

I did however get these picks, after the tire change coming into Tulsa\u2026neat.<\/p>\n
