Well after 3+ weeks in OK is was nice to get back to Colorado and cool down a bit.  On the drive back we made a \u201ctouristy\u201d stop in western Kansas\u2026 I had seen the signs for years about Rays Pharmacy in Quenter<\/a>.  The signs brag about the old time Soda Fountain.  So we stopped, and took a small detour to see this place\u2026 <\/p>\n

I am sorry but from the outside it doesn\u2019t look much like and old time Soda Fountain resides here?  But inside you find this\u2026<\/p>\n

It\u2019s real and they make just about anything you can think of from an old time Soda Fountain!\u2026 Although I would have expected it should have been in one of the other buildings there\u2026 <\/p>\n

Something like these but it appears they are occupied so it is where it is\u2026 also along the main street\u2026<\/p>\n

Neat old houses and<\/p>\n

\"1-NIK_0047\"<\/a><\/p>\n

ONe yard of really nice flowers..<\/p>\n

And the Elephant?  <\/p>\n

We had lunch there at the DQ\u2026 it was ok, priced right but the blizzards were great\u2026 why else would you stop at a Dairy Queen?<\/p>\n

We got in Tuesday night and have been a bit busy trying to get caught up on mail, bills, etc.  And picking up the Grandsons for a weekend stay, etc\u2026 <\/p>\n

Today we went to Conifer to meet up with the other members of the BH Ishmael LLC and have a little meeting and of course when our family gathers, food!\u2026 The meeting is an excuse for having a food day\u2026 so..<\/p>\n

one of the guests arriving after we did\u2026 had to bring the car to show off\u2026 really nice rebuild on that one\u2026 although I remember it setting in her dads old shop for ???? years before they finally got all the right pieces and people to work on it\u2026 <\/p>\n

Some of the kids showed up that are more local\u2026 sorry the others missed out\u2026 <\/p>\n

\"1-NIK_0081\"<\/a><\/p>\n

amd proof that the principals were there for the meeting and \u2026 partaking of the food\u2026 Thanks to Dave and Tam for all the great stuff we had\u2026 I know no one left hungery\u2026 at least I sure didn\u2019t\u2026 <\/p>\n

We also had a couple of extended family show\u2026 <\/p>\n

Wish more could have been there\u2026 we had plenty of food\u2026 <\/p>\n

One of the subjects that was talked about was fishing.  so everyone that could had to show off the fish, some from Alaska, some from the farm ponds, etc\u2026 but it just reminds me\u2026<\/p>\n
