Before we loaded up and headed back to OK for a couple<\/a> weeks I made a few rounds and picked up some local pictures of interest\u2026 in the Walmart parking lot..<\/p>\n

\"1-SAM_6309\"<\/a><\/p>\n

It had the round headlights and this tag on it\u2026 so it had to be 70 vintage?  My Mom and Dad had one<\/a> back then that was the German made diesel, had the round headlights and got about 50 mpg highway\u2026 Dad loved it as he could go a long way on a 10 gallon tank\u2026 but back then it was not as easy to find stations\u2026 then he bought a newer one<\/a> that was American made, had square headlights and only got a bit over 40 mpg?  \u2026 Do you remember the old TV ads for Fahrvergnugen? <\/p>\n

The day or so before we headed out we got word that the Elk were down in the pasture about a half<\/a> mile north of the house<\/a> so \u2026 when we happened to be going by one<\/strong> evening I grabbed some pictures\u2026 it took two to get most of them in\u2026<\/p>\n

Now I looked but didn\u2019t inspect it real close but I didn\u2019t see any bulls\u2026 they probably were back in the trees<\/a> hiding..<\/p>\n

Then as we head out a couple<\/a> miles south east of the house\u2026 we had to wait for the family to cross the road..<\/p>\n

We got here and I had several things that needed worked on\u2026 noticed the bushes, out of place trees<\/a> and vines were killing out the cedars on the east side<\/a> that semi block the house<\/a> in that direction so I had to get in and cut and pull to clear some of that out before it did a number on all of them\u2026 and it is damn hot and humid here\u2026<\/p>\n

\"1-SAM_6399\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I also pulled grass<\/a> out of the flower beds, and am in the process of digging to transplant and replant the Iris bulbs\u2026 the grass<\/a> has over taken the bed so I am having to do a restart\u2026 probably should have done this last spring but didn\u2019t get to it so will have to make due\u2026<\/p>\n

We made it to the Football game<\/a> Thursday night and all I can say is that Jumbo-tron is huge\u2026 and playbacks on that leave little that seen\u2026<\/p>\n

I think the side<\/a> screens are even bigger?  and Thank God the game<\/a> was late enough that the sun went down behind the west endzone before start.  By half<\/a> with the breeze it wasn\u2019t too bad\u2026 in the Sun it would be DAMN HOT\u2026 also seems a lot<\/a> of folks didn\u2019t renew tickets?  we hear most due to not being able to deduct the required donation on their taxes\u2026 which does make things a bit expensive\u2026<\/p>\n

Then on the way home tonight (Friday the 31st) we caught a \u201cSun Dog\u201d\u2026<\/p>\n
