After last weeks work week this week I have been a bit less active\u2026 but not much\u2026 Sunday<\/a> I made it to the local Tri-Lakes Car show<\/a> in downtown Monument.  A really nice small show<\/a> with lots to see\u2026 <\/p>\n

Yes it is not a car<\/a> but the Air Force does some shows around and several ( I saw two) cadets that handle the falcons were there with a couple of the birds\u2026 Great interaction and nice to see.<\/p>\n

I had an old<\/a> 60 El Camino but mine was nothing special\u2026 had a inline 6 and automatic but was fun just the same and got great mileage\u2026 this one\u2026 big engine<\/a> needs more air so they took out two of the headlights and put in \u201cram-air\u201d\u2026 I guess neat idea. <\/p>\n

Really nice color and the whole things was done real nice\u2026 seemed to be a lot<\/a> of trucks at this show\u2026<\/p>\n

nice crowd\u2026 enough cars to stay busy for some time just looking..<\/p>\n

Several for sale.. coming to end of summer, some want to move on, some don\u2019t want to just store it for winter\u2026 <\/p>\n

Another of the nice mid 50\u2019s trucks\u2026 <\/p>\n

Interesting show<\/strong> piece\u2026 had a lot<\/a> of \u201cextras\u2019’ of the age\u2026 Drive in box, window<\/a> tray, and a trunk full<\/p>\n

Have their own museum there\u2026 <\/p>\n

Now this one<\/a> is plenty rare\u2026 I think I have only seen the add on \u201cRoadster\u201d kit in the movies\u2026 according to the tag in window<\/a> there were only about 9000 built in 64 out of a total 92000 birds built\u2026 and you have to special order the kit as they actually quit offering it in 1963\u2026 <\/p>\n

This one<\/a> was really nice inside and out\u2026 <\/p>\n

Not all the trucks were Chevy\u2026 but this one<\/strong> had a bit bigger engine<\/a> than most\u2026 <\/p>\n

Someone has the Dukes old<\/a> General Lee\u2026 and this one<\/strong> was inspected by Cooter\u2026wonder if this guy get\u2019s any politically correct notices about his car? carrying the flag and all..<\/p>\n

Another pickup but not sure how you list this one<\/strong> either\u2026 appears the cab was home<\/a> made, the radiator grill said IH\u2026 but the lights are \u2013 30\u2019s , and the bed?  interesting anyway..<\/p>\n

After the car<\/a> show<\/strong> we gathered up and went down to try another of the Mexican places here\u2026 Don Tequila\u2026 <\/p>\n

I had a 2 pieces combo\u2026 beef burrito in green chili, and a rellano<\/strong> (soft)\u2026 you could get the rellano<\/strong> hard as well\u2026 not many places do that\u2026 and boy what a plate full\u2026 brought half home<\/a> for later..<\/p>\n

That was a Nacho plate\u2026. they took 2\/3 of that home\u2026 <\/p>\n

After last weeks work week this week I have been a bit less active\u2026 but not much\u2026 Sunday I made it to the local Tri-Lakes Car show in downtown Monument.  A really nice small show with lots to see\u2026 <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Yes it is not a car but the Air Force does some shows around and several ( I saw two) cadets that handle the falcons were there with a couple of the birds\u2026 Great interaction and nice to see.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

I had an old 60 El Camino but mine was nothing special\u2026 had a inline 6 and automatic but was fun just the same and got great mileage\u2026 this one\u2026 big engine needs more air so they took out two of the headlights and <\/p>\n
