Ok, I am really bad here\u2026 just noticed I had a lot<\/a> of pictures set back that I had not taken time to make sense of\u2026 Seems the busier I get the less I want to do?  Something close to being retired I think?<\/p>\n

First up are two that I got way back in August of ?different? things\u2026 We were on our way to Lakewood and stopped for early morning breakfast at Carls\u2026 one<\/a> of our \u201cgot to places\u201d  and on the street out front<\/a> I got this\u2026<\/p>\n

That ditch<\/a> is deep and filled with water and they had to pull this out of the ditch?  not sure what he was doing or what they were on but you can see it whacked the curb here in front, missed the stop<\/a> sign, and fire plug and ended up in the ditch\u2026 aaaah, don\u2019t try to say the brakes quit or locked up cause no signs of that\u2026 just over the bank\u2026 yea, the dog did it\u2026 that it.<\/p>\n

This, from all appearance is how that thing<\/a> is made\u2026 it has not been in a crunch or squeeze by some big trucks or something\u2026 at least I don\u2019t think so I am not sure if it all slides in all directions or not but having seals on that would be a mystery\u2026 <\/p>\n

Anyway on one<\/a> of our trips back to the farms we stopped to check on the \u201cwind mills\u201d going up out there.  Was a great day to stop<\/a> as no one<\/strong> was around so I got some pictures , learned a little and moved on\u2026 <\/p>\n

Them things are really long\u2026ha! of course we already knew that but in this position it looks even longer\u2026 <\/p>\n

And they have teeth! <\/p>\n

Last week, Great Grandpa came out for a short visit.  Hey he is 92 and the only help he needs is someone else to drive\u2026 so SIL brought him out to visit.  <\/p>\n

We took him to visit<\/a> all over the place\u2026 as much as we could\u2026 We made a run up to Cripple Creek\u2026 down here it was all fog and clouds but as we pop up to Woodland park the sun came out and it was sunny up there\u2026<\/p>\n

This was after we made the circle to Cripple Creek<\/strong> and you can see the clouds and fog rolling up the valleys to the east as we come back into Woodland Park from west\u2026 <\/p>\n

We circled Newmont’s mine hole\u2026 whew they are just moving the whole damn mountain between Cripple Creek<\/strong> and Victor.. blast it out here, move it over there and then leach it to get the gold out\u2026 it must be working as much as they are doing and this has been going on for 10 to 15 years now.  It is hard to get a size on this but way over in the middle of the picture<\/a> is a 3 story work building\/shop for the operations.<\/p>\n

Of course we had hoped the colors would be a little bit brighter but in spots it was vibrant\u2026<\/p>\n

even though we are about the same elevation here that front<\/a> had all the moisture and fog pushed up against the mountains out here\u2026 <\/p>\n

Here the Great Grandsons are explaining about Lightening McQueen and other intriguing facts\u2026 <\/p>\n

We got each on to picture<\/a> up with GGrandpa\u2026 <\/p>\n

Our GS#1 but I have lost count on where this places him in the GGS list? <\/p>\n

Out #3\u2026 he had no problem jumping up for pictures..<\/p>\n

Our GS#2.  He had problems at first and after a dozen shot and a lot<\/a> of prompting he got a little smile\u2026<\/p>\n

The more people and kids you put in the picture<\/strong> the harder it is for them to all be looking and focused\u2026 Best I could do here.<\/p>\n

Ok that catches up some of the more important pictures out here\u2026 I should try to do a much better job of keeping up with things\u2026 but\u2026<\/p>\n

Most of the time this is all you see\u2026 or even think to picture<\/strong> and post\u2026 fake coyote and fake cactus\u2026 that ain\u2019t interesting\u2026 but what is is the date\u2026 late August<\/p>\n

and the grass is green and tall way out in the dry areas\u2026 that is how unusual this summer had been\u2026 wet, wet, wet for this country.  <\/p>\n
