Catch up on some project and trips\u2026 <\/p>\n

Last week before I went back to OK<\/a> I finished up GS#2 sandbox\u2026 haven’t put in the tarp or moved the sand\u2026 <\/p>\n

Hey that looks just like the other one\u2026 <\/p>\n

I also found a Real RedNeck vehicle that didn\u2019t have a Texas tag<\/a> on it\u2026 or even one<\/a> from down south\u2026 ha!<\/p>\n

Y can\u2019t confuse that with a Hippy van.. I don\u2019t think?<\/p>\n

It was a Utah tag<\/a> at that? Likely misplaced RedNeck\u2026.<\/p>\n

Next on the hit parade of ??? oddity things I see\u2026 A real hybrid car\u2026<\/p>\n

I know this because the sticker on the back says so\u2026<\/p>\n

So remember anytime you use gas and duct tape you are creating a Hybrid\u2026 who knew?<\/p>\n

We also ended up on a huge detour today\u2026 I got back from the Monument house about 11 and said lest go find a Popeye\u2019s for some Tuesday chicken special\u2026 $1.99 for two pieces of white meat\u2026 The closest one<\/a> was about 9 miles north east so off we went\u2026 I would have though that there was one<\/strong> in Lakewood but nope\u2026 they are all up north or out east?  hum\u2026 Anyway it was good, fast and cheap\u2026 just my kind of place\u2026 but on the way back Sherrie wanted to to to Loveland ski area\u2026 \u201c"HUH\u201d? I am sure she didn\u2019t realize it was about an hour west but off we went\u2026 <\/p>\n

We even put in a few minutes doing a tour of Georgetown\u2026 had to stop<\/a> at the visitor center<\/a> as the big tea from popeyes was blurring up my eyes\u2026 <\/p>\n

Yep, tourist town with lots of shops full of crap\u2026 didn\u2019t stop\u2026 and most of the houses do have dates of construction\u2026 pretty old<\/a> ..<\/p>\n

Most of them were older than Grandma and she was born in 1897\u2026 actually most were older than Grandpa and he was 1888?  that\u2019s pretty old<\/a> huh\u2026 ?<\/p>\n

We headed on up to the ski areas\u2026 Loveland, A basin, etc.\u2026 over Loveland pass\u2026 <\/p>\n

wanted some pictures of the water falls and such but not a safe<\/a> place<\/a> to pull over, not safe<\/a> to try it out the window<\/a> for me\u2026 but did get some of the area near the top..  Still a really good snow cornice here\u2026 but with record high temps things are running pretty high in the streams now..<\/p>\n

We drove on past Keystone resort then back on 70 and headed back as we had an appointment for after 3 to look at some furniture\u2026 we were a bit late \u2026 on the way down through the tunnels\u2026 I guess I had not remembered that the east bound is not also the Eisenhower but is the Johnson<\/p>\n

I only remember it being referred to the Eisenhower tunnel but it was done in 1973 and the Johnson was 1979?  oh well, I think they still only refer to it as Eisenhower but maybe because they are more worried about people going up from Denver? Not sure?  oh well more history to read up on..<\/p>\n

And that is about it for some of the minor highlights.. a multitude of things I don\u2019t remember happened as well\u2026 old<\/strong> age is great for that.<\/p>\n
