Amazing how fast things change here and how slow the storm is at moving on.  Our original plans were to be on the road<\/a> today back to Oklahoma to get the house ready to rent\u2026 ( move out all the remaining items).  We delayed that a day<\/a> figuring that the storm that hit us since Friday night would be moving on\u2026 not so fast buckwheat\u2026 I keep checking the road<\/a> conditions between here and central Kansas and then south and guess<\/a> what\u2026 I-70 has been closed all day<\/a> today from state line to Salina due to this big storm\u2026 Here, we spent about 6 hours shoveling and moving snow\u2026 ( I need a tractor but no place to store it so the HOA doesn\u2019t complain)\u2026 but even with that poof it is disappearing very rapidly now that we have cleared the drive..<\/p>\n

I measured that that jeep had over 9 inches on the top this morning\u2026 yes I moved it and drove to town and back , that removed a lot of it but that walk and the bush in front<\/a> were stacked tall and now\u2026 poof.  There was a 2 ft. drift in front<\/a> and back of the jeep before the shovel\u2026<\/p>\n

Just to refresh it was this way and snowed all day<\/strong> yesterday\u2026 and the wind blew\u2026 <\/p>\n

Now it doesn\u2019t look<\/a> like we even had a big storm but hey it got up into upper 40\u2019s this afternoon from a 20 low. <\/p>\n

On my way in town at lunch<\/a> time I captured this picture and have to feel<\/a> sorry for the fool that drove off the road..<\/p>\n

You can see the snow plows didn\u2019t feel<\/a> too sorry\u2026 <\/p>\n

Oh well but like I said looking at the road<\/strong> ahead, we may be waiting another day<\/strong> or at least some of it???<\/p>\n

Most of the road<\/strong> doesn\u2019t look<\/a> too bad although you can see \u201cNO<\/a> TRAFFIC\u201d  and cones at the Russell junction and then\u2026<\/p>\n

East side of Colby,KS at 8 pm, they aren\u2019t even plowing the interstate other than one lane in this area and from the looks of the pass it is deep (on the road)\u2026 <\/p>\n
