I am not sure if this is usual or not up here at the western Red House\u2026 (more about that later)\u2026 but we have had a good 24 hours of fog here.  Lucky it was not as bad as farther north where it was ice.  Our roads have not been iced up as yet just the trees and lines and things\u2026 so this afternoon I felt like getting out to see the sites or see the ice?  was interesting and difficult to get pictures cause was rebuilding the fog again\u2026 <\/p>\n

Wild guess as to what that actually is?  pine needles on one of our pine trees\u2026 <\/p>\n

Can see the fog is moving back in from the east (right).<\/p>\n

I should have gotten out and tried several angles on this as it was really a neat old<\/a> wagon at the front of a property to the west of us.<\/p>\n

I did get several angles but think if I had gotten out of the car and walked around a bit<\/a> could have done better..<\/p>\n

As a thought\u2026 which way should a horse shoe be hung or in this case place (correctly as I was told)\u2026 Grandpa always said \u201cyou should put the ends pointing up so your luck doesn\u2019t run out\u201d<\/p>\n

a bit<\/a> more dramatic placement of the frost\/ice crystals on these branches and they are building from the south the direction of the very lite wind out here during this event.<\/p>\n

To the statement about the RED HOUSE\u2026 well the POTUS lives in the white house but we have two RED HOUSES\u2026 not really red but off red on both\u2026 the Eastern location house has redwood colored siding on it and the Western house is a Oklahoma type red dirt stucco\u2026 not sure why we ended up with the outside of the new house looking like red dirt and being in Colorado but it does\u2026 Anyway the Western Red House is going though some upgrades\u2026 It had an odd cut out for living room carpet and carpet in the dining room and office.  So and update was needed\u2026 <\/p>\n

\"1-livingroom\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The old<\/a> living room with carpet which doesn\u2019t show<\/a> that where the picture<\/a> is from it is wood<\/a> down the hall ?  This house also had those built in spaces that frankly might have been nice 16 years ago but they don\u2019t fit the new TV’s or other stuff so \u2026 we had part of that removed too.<\/p>\n

It was amazing that even the original wood<\/a> floor<\/a> needed to be sanded and redone\u2026 had a lot of discolor and bad spots.  Yes we are not yet done with the wall removal and all but now we have a really big spot to put the really big TV<\/a> and cabinet.  <\/p>\n

\"1-office1\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Although nice enough the original office with carpet and a tiny close in the corner where the shot was taken needed a change too.<\/p>\n

Looking in from those glass doors that closet it gone and now there is a nice big area over there for the Ham<\/a> Radio desk\u2026 and yes it is not done just yet either\u2026 But it has a damn nice hard wood<\/strong> floor<\/a> in there now..<\/p>\n

\"1-dining\"<\/a><\/p>\n

On the plans this was a formal living room but the previous owner had it as a formal dining room\u2026 neither of which we likely will make much use<\/a> of but if it is to be a formal dining room , with my family, it needed to be hard wood<\/strong> as well\u2026 besides that carpet was old<\/strong> and needed replaced anyway.<\/p>\n

being dark no need to open that blind but it now has a really nice hard wood<\/strong> floor<\/strong> and once we get Mom\u2019s big old<\/strong> dining table in there and add a couple of pieces for the formal or ?  show<\/a> stuff it will be another room we never use?  or at least it can be used with out worrying so much about kids dropping stuff on the floor..ha!<\/p>\n

So that is what has been happening the past week or so\u2026 upgrades, updates and getting ready to move more stuff in\u2026 <\/p>\n

Hopefully tomorrow we might get most of the texture on the walls and get a bookcase and the baseboards put in.  It will look better then and we can maybe move a few small things in but thinking we will let the floor<\/strong> cure a bit<\/strong> longer as I have already put a scratch in the finish.  Being as it is sold cold and house shut up the sealer is slowly drying.  It may take 2 weeks to reach full hardness so we have to be a bit<\/strong> careful and try not to \u201cscoot\u201d things across the floor<\/strong> just yet\u2026 It is dry enough to walk on and not mark but moving heavy stuff will likely still put a scratch in the surface coatings. <\/p>\n
