Well this week was a bit slower\u2026 we were able to TRY<\/strong> and catch the music<\/a> in the park on both Tuesday (Canon City) and Wednesday (Florence).\u00a0 Unfortunately the weather is not a lot<\/a> of cooperation.\u00a0 Tuesday we headed to the park in Canon in a downpour\u2026 got there and it had slowed to just a drizzle but had a lot<\/a> of threatening storms moving in \u2026 All that as it is, we still got in some of the Tuesday night<\/a> artist\u2026 Donovan Lee<\/a>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

They say your not there unless you got proof or a picture\u2026 well I got a picture<\/a> cause I could not believe the RED, RED<\/strong> hair and beard\u2026 Anyway not too bad\u2026 he was dry in the band<\/a> stand.\u00a0 We were dry in the jeep with one window down\u2026 there were several hearty souls with umbrellas out for the listen.<\/p>\n

Wednesday night<\/a> we did make the Florence version and it was much better\u2026 not raining and good music\u2026 the kind we like\u2026done by the 101st Army band<\/a>.\u00a0 Actually they have several versions from concert to country.\u00a0 Of course we got the Country for this version and they were pretty good.<\/p>\n

\"SAM_4709\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Although I am not sure how the Army National Guard band<\/a> is really stationed at and Air Force Base with Carson so close.\u00a0 It must have something to do with the band<\/strong> having started in Denver and then returning to Denver.<\/p>\n

Today we made a short driver up Oak Creek Grade and took the back (4X4 ) road<\/a> down to Grape creek\u2026 I may have to try that for fishing some day<\/a> as we meet two coming out that had done well and only been up there for 3 hours.\u00a0 It is a lot<\/strong> harder to get to and way out so that may be an advantage for better fishing?\u00a0 Maybe next summer as we are about done here this summer.<\/p>\n

On the way up the road<\/a> we spotted several houses on top of the hills around\u2026 and boy that would be a long hard driveway.<\/p>\n

Tonight we were going to try some \u201clittle known\u201d good eating place a Bar B Que at the VFW in Penrose but the cook was gone so no Bar B Que today?\u00a0 oh well\u2026 On the way we did see this:<\/p>\n

We were racing to get to the end for that pot of gold<\/strong> but just never made it\u2026 guess we are too slow.<\/p>\n

So that is how we didn\u2019t get rich with the pot of gold\u2026<\/p>\n
