Well didn\u2019t get anything put in last night\u2026 guess<\/a> I was just real lazy?  or didn\u2019t get to it.  Anyway we got around Friday morning in Clayton and found that the Refrig was out?  nothing seemed to work.  I spent a few minutes trying to find a reason but figured we could get on down the road and would work on it when we get to the next point in the travel.  So on we went.  Or almost.  I couldn\u2019t get the rear watch camera to work.  I use that to watch the trailing jeep\u2026 oh well guess<\/a> we didn\u2019t need that either\u2026 We had breakfast at the rabbit ears caf\u00e9 on recommendation from the camp host and it was pretty good.. Got a \u201cGreen Chili\u201d smothered breakfast burrito and a home<\/a> made cinnamon roll.  <\/p>\n

Now I didn’t eat that whole thing, it was huge and glad we split it but\u2026 ooops cleaned up before I remembered I had a camera\u2026 ha! anyway hadn\u2019t wiped out the roll yet\u2026 ha!<\/p>\n

So this was the place<\/a> and they do have home<\/a> made green chili.  <\/p>\n

We pulled out and about 5 miles out I notice that the tire monitor for the jeep were not working\u2026 I have a TPMS that monitors both vehicles for low air.  So I stopped and checked but the tires were ok so figure the old<\/strong> units on the jeep may be way down on power or? <\/p>\n

Just one<\/a> problem after another\u2026huh? <\/p>\n

On our route through the almost nothing between Clayton and Raton I got this old<\/strong> memory or a house..<\/p>\n

Maybe it was a old<\/strong> school or maybe it needed that tower?  not sure , just not a usual house in the vast country out here?<\/p>\n

We didn\u2019t stop<\/a> in Raton as the clouds were coming back in and it was misting now\u2026 and cold.  actually it was the first time we have been out in the motorhome that we needed to turn the heat on while driving?  Hey it worked!  Over the pass and through the woods on to Colorado we go.  Also whipped right on through Trinidad with out a stop<\/a> but about Walsenburg it was noon? So we stopped to reduce the growl level\u2026<\/p>\n

Nothing fancy , went to the Carl\u2019s there and this was across the street.  Also on the way up and over the hill north out of Walsenburg passed the miner..<\/p>\n

Should have stopped and read up on that guy<\/a> but we wanted to move on\u2026<\/p>\n

We got to our camp spot and parked it \u2026 then I got to work on the refrig to see if it was something I could fix or at least narrow down for repair or replace\u2026 even got a bag of ice as I figured it would a big deal but once I got into it\u2026 checking voltages I found a loose wire? hum\u2026<\/p>\n

Hooked it back up to where it appears it should go and poof it works\u2026 got real lucky there that was only a loose wire preventing it from working.<\/p>\n

The red wires on the left were all loose and one<\/a> pulled out\u2026 <\/p>\n

With that fixed we went out for pizza at a local Papa\u2019s pizza place\u2026 good pizza and again didn\u2019t get the pictures\u2026 sorry\u2026 was just so damn happy that it was not the total replacement of the refrig that forgot. <\/p>\n

Today the plan was to get to Old Colorado City for the big celebration there<\/a> Territory Days\u2026 and we made it\u2026 whew there were loads of people there..<\/p>\n

This guy<\/a> was interested in what was going on in front of him\u2026 <\/p>\n

Of course the big thing<\/a> is loads of ?art? stuff and junk that you just can\u2019t live with out\u2026 Rock animals?  oh boy.<\/p>\n

This thing<\/a> takes up the main street there and is several blocks long\u2026 damn long crowed walk down and back but you do what you got to do\u2026 <\/p>\n

Interesting how they decorate the walls in some places\u2026<\/p>\n

One reason for the visit here was to take in the Brule\u2019 music and Indian dancers<\/a>.  It was a pretty good show\u2026 unfortunately I didn\u2019t get close enough for good pictures..There are plenty on youtube and other places.<\/p>\n

He had three vintage rifles and he was explaining to this kid all about the making, and dates for them and how they were different.<\/p>\n

Now this was the vision of \u2026 When do we get out of here?  He was a trooper and never got upset and did real well with all the riding, although I think he got a little too much sun\u2026 <\/p>\n

I wasn\u2019t sure what was going on here\u2026 oh yea, it was root beer from Woody\u2019s\u2026 <\/p>\n

Not sure if he had a muzzle or that was extra cover to protect him?  not one<\/strong> of ours, just one<\/strong> I saw.<\/p>\n

We were fortunate that it didn\u2019t come up a big rain while we were there\u2026 maybe did later in the day?<\/p>\n

For our evening entertainment we made the balloon thing<\/strong> at the Abby in Canon City\u2026 looks like that had a great day<\/a> too but we got there pretty late , just for the evening balloon glow..<\/p>\n

Now they had food vendors all around and some still open during the evening show<\/a> but I am not sure of this one?<\/p>\n
