{"id":5942,"date":"2011-04-29T00:18:32","date_gmt":"2011-04-29T06:18:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/?p=5942"},"modified":"2011-04-29T00:18:32","modified_gmt":"2011-04-29T06:18:32","slug":"good-reads-on-energy-and-washington","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ishmaels.net\/blog\/2011\/04\/29\/good-reads-on-energy-and-washington\/","title":{"rendered":"Good Reads on Energy and Washington"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Some of the good reads I like to <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>share<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In the first <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>article<\/strong> it is amazing that the President and the media are so quick to attack the oil and <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>gas<\/strong> industry for high prices. \u00a0Although is visually obvious when you are paying 25 % more this year than last for <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>gas<\/strong> there is a <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>problem<\/strong> , it is not obvious where that <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>problem<\/strong> lies. \u00a0I suggest that the Banks are making obscene profits right now from free govenment money printing &#8211; when will they be investigated? \u00a0I have written before and it is fairly easy to find that 70% or more of the oil now is produced by &#8220;National <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>Oil<\/strong> Companies&#8221; not the &#8220;Big <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>Oil<\/strong> Industry&#8221; as we all would like to think. \u00a0The big companies like Exxon and <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>BP<\/strong> are small compared to the National <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>Oil<\/strong> companies. \u00a0Think Libya, Saudi, Kuwait, Iran,Iraq, China, Venezuala,Algeria, etc. \u00a0they all have their own national oil company and they generally control over 50% of all oil activity in their countries and tell the others what they will and will not do. \u00a0I work in <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>one<\/strong> and the &#8220;international&#8221; companies are small players and small partners in any of this. \u00a0One of my recent posts covered this as to <a href=\"http:\/\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/?p=5222\">who controls the oil in the world.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>As of this date there are 178 Co-Sponsers to the Natural Gas Act relative in item 2 below. \u00a0This <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>one<\/strong> just makes sense. \u00a0The <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>article<\/strong> also throws out some investment ideas that need to be followed. -WD0AJG<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>[recreading items=1]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Some of the good reads I like to share.<\/p>\n<p>In the first article it is amazing that the President and the media are so quick to attack the oil and gas industry for high prices.
