Well, I got \u2026 a lot<\/a> done today, and if you believe that I have some coastline property in Arizona to sell (well maybe coastline some day)?  I did take the list and go pick up some things for Sherrie to make<\/a> bierox (cabbage pockets).<\/p>\n

  We used to have them a lot<\/a> but the kids didn\u2019t like them and it takes time<\/a> and\u2026 and\u2026 and\u2026 so we haven\u2019t had them in several years\u2026 we usually make<\/a> up a dozen or two dozen and freeze most.  They are just about as good later as they are the first time.  We make<\/strong> ours with cabbage, onions and hamburger meat\u2026 then slop on some butter or cheese and some Tabasco and oh boy\u2026 I got all the stuff at the store<\/a> plus a few things and got home<\/a> and it appeared Sherrie was not going to get into making today so I thought about dinner and remembered the left over chicken<\/a>. If you remember in previous statements about last weekend and the cooking we ended up with some pulled chicken<\/a> left that needed something<\/a> done with it or throw it out\u2026 so I just figured why not gumbo?  it was a cloudy, cool day<\/a> (at least most of it).  I had the Zatarain gumbo starter so mixed t all up and got it to boil.  I threw in the left over chicken<\/strong> pieces, cut off a little sausage to add to that and found some old frozen shrimp that were getting \u2026 old, they all went into the gumbo and it turned out pretty good\u2026<\/p>\n

Not as good as Cajun folks make<\/strong> but good for a poor northern guy\u2026 <\/p>\n

oh and while I was at the store<\/a> I came on some new cans\u2026 didn\u2019t get any as I have way more cans<\/a> than I need<\/a> for planes now but saw this and thought of my good Friend Mr. Benny\u2026 ! <\/p>\n

Hey Mr. Benny, they got a can just for you\u2026 Benny Gold.<\/p>\n

Then it was back to the shop to work on some humming birds or something\u2026 I did fire up the motor home<\/a> and let it warm to running temps as well as the generator but I really need<\/a> to load the genset to get it cleaned out\u2026 maybe next time<\/a> it will run with both air units on for awhile\u2026 but while I was there I was toying and thinking about my radio change form the 706 to the 7100 and how to mount the head and I also have some extra 12 volt plugs to put in and think I have found a spot for that so , maybe this week I will get on that install?  will see.<\/p>\n
