It has been hard to stay in tune and write things that happen here.  I have been working on planes and doing radio stuff as well as some technical reading and I find nearly every night it is past midnight before I even get around to thinking about bed time\u2026 I need<\/a> to get that turned around or ??? maybe not, hey I am retired<\/strong> so guess I can stay up late\u2026 Anyway with the late nights it turns into late mornings as well.  but that is ok, not like we have a lot of places to be every day anymore.  With the change  and Sherrie being retired<\/strong> I have been cooking<\/a> a little more\u2026 That just doesn\u2019t sound right?  She is retired<\/strong> and I am cooking<\/a> more? oh well it is ok.  <\/p>\n

I have learned this about that..<\/p>\n

Today I slaved over a Hot Crock Pot\u2026 for maybe 10 minutes\u2026 ha! it did take me about 40 minutes this morning to get it all put together and dumped in the pot\u2026<\/p>\n

In the pot and turned to hot for the next??? 4 hours or so.  I was doing up Chicken Tortilla soup today.  I started with this recipe , but for me a recipe is just that\u2026 a starting point\u2026 they usually need<\/a> a little extra stuff? <\/p>\n

In this one<\/a> did cube up the chicken but think I will put them in whole<\/a> and cook then pull apart at about 4 or 5 hours and put back\u2026 I also used a can of whole<\/a> corn instead of frozen, a little less chicken broth (32 oz. box)\u2026 the tomatoes and green chilies were Hatch green chilies , I didn\u2019t have any cumin so that was left out and I used twice as much chili powder then added in a can of black beans to mix\u2026 just put it all in the crock pot, and lid on and turn it up\u2026 and then we left for the BB game\u2026 When we got back I stirred it and turned the heat down to low and let simmer till about 7pm\u2026 well it was pretty good\u2026 <\/p>\n

yep, this is my second bowl with a little grated chees on it to really make<\/a> it better\u2026 maybe next time I need<\/strong> to start with a good Roux so it will thicken up?  <\/p>\n

This week I had to make<\/a> several trips to the store to get things for the cooking<\/strong> and as I was headed in for a parking spot on one<\/a> of those trips\u2026 hummm thought that was an empty spot?<\/p>\n

seems they \u201clanded\u2019 it a big long on the runway?  maybe they were running a bit fast and couldn\u2019t get it stopped behind the lines?  not sure which bu8t it didn\u2019t leave enough spot on either side? oh well pull around and found another spot.<\/p>\n

Also came across this when I was filling up yesterday\u2026<\/p>\n

That poor bumper has seen better days and it makes me wonder what is exactly holding it on?  there were a few other bad spots on the pickup as well but this was all I got a pic of\u2026 <\/p>\n

I also have finished up the latest addition of airplanes\u2026 last fall my SIL was with me when I made a beer<\/a> run and he spotted these cans<\/a> and said, \u201cthey would be interesting in an airplane\u201d\u2026 so we bought two six packs then when we get home he says\u2026 \u201cI can’t drink any beer\u201d so it was u p to me\u2026 well, I am not one<\/strong> to shirk a duty but it did take me a couple of weeks\u2026 I don\u2019t drink them down too fast anymore\u2026 anyway, when I got them done I realized I didn\u2019t have enough for a full airplane so had to improvise a body for the plane<\/a> and I did have a few of the Colorado Kolsch cans<\/a> left so they were put in for the body\u2026 and hey with Colorado on the side of the plane<\/a> why not put some mountains on the front in the cowling for which I did have a left over top from a Busch can that would work fine\u2026 makes an odd plane<\/strong> but it is \u201cone<\/strong> of a kind\u201d\u2026 ha!<\/p>\n

I did get the Oktoberfest from the special Sant\u00e9 Fe brewing cans<\/strong> on the plane<\/strong> and it did make<\/strong> some interesting wings\u2026 <\/p>\n

I think those mountains on the front add a bit of flare?  although they run the wrong way\u2026 ha but it is just a beer<\/a> can airplane anyway\u2026 <\/p>\n

I still need<\/strong> to put on the thread or wire for the wing spans\u2026 but essentially it is done.  <\/p>\n

One more thing I am trying to convince people<\/a> of is that I have a problem if I set too long\u2026 my butt seems to go to sleep, although it does fall asleep when I am standing too ?<\/p>\n
