Off to see GS#3 for his Christmas and get out of town for a few days\u2026 didn\u2019t leave as early as normal but was ok, still got in about the same time?  strange how that works.  Heading north on I-35 we passed several remnants of the last few days storm\u2026 wasn\u2019t much snow<\/a> but could tell there had been plenty<\/a> of ice, and this is the outcome of that or a few of what I saw\u2026<\/p>\n

Was a bit<\/a> of fog in spots but nothing serious\u2026 what appears to be snow<\/a> is mostly just ice on the side of the road\u2026<\/p>\n

Missed the corner by a bunch? or something?\u2026 on ramp south of Tonkawa\u2026<\/p>\n

I guess<\/a> when you don\u2019t have any other way to anchor the poles that are falling down you tie them off to a big truck\u2026 <\/p>\n

\"SAM_3537\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I can bet that driver will have a lot of sh_t to clean out of that cab\u2026 from all indication he was in the south bound lanes and came through the cable fence barrier ( guess<\/a> that is only good for cars)\u2026 went through the middle<\/a> depression which is probably a 4 ft. drop in the middle<\/a> across a 25 ft. grass ditch\u2026 then flew across the North bound lanes and through the mud in the east side ditch<\/a> and into the farmers field (taking out his fence too)\u2026 Had it been me\u2026 would have taken hours to pry my fingers from the wheel but I am sure the seat was lubricated well enough to slide out\u2026<\/p>\n

The rest of out drive was un-eventful other than the usual people in the middle<\/strong> of the road, odd occurrences at rest stops and other things\u2026 not worth mentioning again\u2026 <\/p>\n

Got in and immediately had a little Christmas so GS#3 could get down for a nap\u2026 so he did get to tear open some packages\u2026 <\/p>\n

He seemed to have the tearing open stuff down pretty good\u2026 it also appears he did well for Christmas\u2026 got a big plastic jeep with a horn\u2026 and a small digger truck, and plenty<\/a> of other stuff\u2026 <\/p>\n

But it appears with him, it makes no difference, he is always happy\u2026 and likes to pose for pictures\u2026 <\/p>\n

The older folks talked and got pizza while he napped and then when he got back up\u2026 he found some snow<\/strong> boots that just had to be tried out\u2026 I  think they were a bit<\/a> big?  <\/p>\n

It was a damn long day\u2026 10 hours on the road<\/a> and a few more celebrating and that is enough\u2026 time<\/a> for some rest\u2026 <\/p>\n
