Well not totally\u2026 We designed and had this house built\u2026 we like a lot<\/a> of the things we did\u2026 my best accomplishment is the back deck\u2026 a covered, elevated, 10 x 60 deck facing our pond and the west sunsets\u2026 with a huge set of Oak trees to protect 3\/4 of the deck in summer form the sun but open up in the winter<\/a> to only shade 1\/4 or less\u2026 I was lucky in that respect\u2026 <\/p>\n

Now, the mistakes\u2026 we never really liked the kitchen\u2026 actually I didn\u2019t everyone else just figured it was the way it was\u2026 We went cheap\u2026 used granite<\/strong> tiles instead of solid granite<\/strong> and the island<\/a> was long, skinny and aimed the wrong way\u2026 so we determined to have it redone\u2026 maybe some better tile, fix the door that was in backward, or wrong, and real granite<\/strong> counters as well as redo the island.  Monday they started\u2026 <\/p>\n

and a lot<\/a> of stuff got hauled out\u2026<\/p>\n

No more Island at this point and then <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

No more tile and the granite<\/strong> guy came to measure\u2026 that thing in the middle is his \u201cauto-draw\u201d machine\u2026 sets up\u2026 pulls out pointer to the various points of the counters\u2026 hits a button on a remote and poof it starts to layout the cabinets as well as levels, heights, etc.\u2026 I think?  Anyway  he got all the measures<\/a> of the cabinets in place and then we will figure<\/a> out the new island<\/a> and he will have measures<\/a> for that\u2026 So now we are kitchen-less\u2026 it is all in the living room and garage\u2026 ha!  At present it is not too bad, but I sure miss my RO water<\/a> machine\u2026 tap water<\/a> tastes funny\u2026 <\/p>\n

Hope to have the new tile down by next week\u2026 and plans for center<\/a> island<\/strong> done this weekend\u2026 will see how it all comes together\u2026 after all\u2026 it is just the kids inheritance we are spending\u2026 <\/p>\n
