This morning<\/a> I started off by going<\/a> out for breakfast.  I go to Braums some, because they have the paper there and if I am lucky I can catch up on the weekly BS in  the local paper, with out having to pay<\/a> the overly high delivery price\u2026 Hey I am retired and watching my pennies\u2026 somewhat\u2026 I got a call and Sherrie had gotten a call that a neighbor was out walking their dogs this morning<\/a> and said I had a big leak on my front watering system\u2026 well it waters before 6 and I seldom pay<\/a> much attention and it doesn\u2019t water long enough to get a lot<\/a> of places wet\u2026 but when I got home I grabbed the drip system repair box and took off\u2026 I spent a bit<\/a> more than an hour plugging leaks, fixing sprayers, etc.\u2026 got it fixed for a while longer, I hope\u2026 Then I worked on the POE unit for the cameras\u2026 I got some POE (Power over Ethernet) type cameras and bought one<\/a> switch that can power 4 cameras\u2026 I can\u2019t power all of them with it as they are in split areas but I can do 2 or 3 around the shop and cut out the extra extension cords I had run for the little power cubes\u2026 as well as the extra cubes\u2026 so am working<\/a> on getting it put in\u2026 have to get a mount for it to be put up high on the inside wall, etc.\u2026 where the Ethernet lines come together\u2026 and I need<\/a> to get a few more things changed so it can power up the cameras out there but I tested it on one<\/a> and it worked fine\u2026 <\/p>\n

As  you can tell I am still working<\/a> on replacing and fixing what was burned up\u2026 Well, I am really slow at getting it done, in the old days it would have been fixed or dumped in the first weeks\u2026 but now I am not in a big hurry and doing a bit<\/a> more checking before I totally replace stuff\u2026 Now I have:<\/p>\n

replaced the ham radios\u2026 replaced the computers and have them working\u2026 still need<\/a> a bit<\/strong> more software installed but as I said, no hurry\u2026 getting the things I need<\/strong> working<\/strong> and then decide what else\u2026 one<\/strong> thing<\/a> I have done is upgrade the security \/video cameras\u2026 and I have to say the night<\/a> vision ip cameras are a lot<\/a> better now than they were just a couple of years ago \u2026not to mention the color is better during the day..<\/p>\n

yea it already has a cob web on it\u2026 ran the other way last night\u2026 but no light and can see the whole drive\u2026 that is about 150 ft..<\/p>\n

Front porch with only the led yard lights\u2026 and good detail too.. <\/p>\n

This afternoon I pulled another network cable (shielded one) through the underground conduit form the house to the shop\u2026 that helped the speed some and now being shielded helps as well since it run right  next to the high power lines form the shop to the house\u2026 that has been a big interference for the network but now all the lines from the router out to the far end of the shop are shielded\u2026 good speed too.  once that was done back to tinkering with the cameras\u2026 a little problem with the software for some reason it won\u2019t uploaded the bigger pictures to the webpage, will do fine if they are less than 80KB but get them up above that during the day and it drops 2 of the 4 larger HD camera pictures out\u2026 will send the lower res ones fine?  and 2 of the HD get sent?  not figuring that one<\/strong> out\u2026 so something to keep working<\/strong> on\u2026 this evening we couldn\u2019t decide on dinner so I went to Braums again for a chocolate shake\u2026 but on the way got the warning so had to go fill up with gas\u2026 I was a bit<\/strong> late as before noon it was 1.86 and tonight it was 1.91 at the cheapest, and 1.99 at all the others\u2026 oh wait, big game this weekend so just getting ready for the rush\u2026 oh well\u2026 buy gas on Wed morning<\/strong> or pay<\/strong> bigger prices\u2026 <\/p>\n

oh and when I pulled the pictures from the camera, I had some of Saturday with GS#3 doing his thing\u2026 he will climb anything anywhere\u2026 no fear..<\/p>\n

This evening I did get out and fire up the radio\u2026 made a few 160 meter contacts\u2026 made 7 or 8 last night<\/a> as well\u2026 hope it clears up a little more but hearing things pretty well right now\u2026 just not great at getting out\u2026 all the time. I need<\/strong> to get the final order of some new coax and antennas for replacements and that will be the end of replacing burnt up stuff\u2026 for this time.  <\/p>\n
