Yes to day<\/a> will go down as filled with pointless facts\u2026 We had to get the Jeep<\/a> to the detail shop and I had to drive Sherrie on to work so I could have the car to get home\u2026 along with several other little things to do\u2026 When I get out and looked at the pond\u2026 there was a fog on it like it was mid fall\u2026 we did get down to about 55 or maybe a bit less this morning so that was interesting\u2026<\/p>\n

It made for a strange picture with the sun just coming over and hitting the tops of the trees and reflecting into the pond with a yellow tent\u2026anyway we need to be off so we dropped the Jeep<\/a> off at 7:30, picked up Sherries breakfast usual at Braums and got her to work\u2026 On the way back to the detail shop I stopped to grab some  pictures\u2026<\/p>\n

they were all sunning like it was cold but it wasn\u2019t that cold\u2026 ha! just funny to see them all in the sun on the top of the antennas..<\/p>\n

The old Baptist Student center, gone\u2026 I thought maybe they were going<\/a> to build back but no\u2026 with a bit more inspection\u2026<\/p>\n

They got bought out and a new Frat house will occupy the corner of University and Monroe\u2026 Prime spot so several new Frat houses are going<\/a> up\u2026 and coming down\u2026 who will be next? I heard the the UM student center at Washington was to be rebuilt but no action on that yet\u2026 might be bought out by a rich Frat?  and across the road from that the rework of the Atherton (hotel at the Union) is going<\/strong> on\u2026 seems it has been going<\/strong> on for a really long time?<\/p>\n

Heck they are still working on the parking garage and that was started way before the hotel rework\u2026<\/p>\n

I also got a picture of the Boot on campus\u2026 I need a new one<\/a> of the hat but have this one<\/a> form before\u2026<\/p>\n

I will have to try and get a new one<\/strong> and see if they have added anything\u2026<\/p>\n

And the Boot today\u2026 <\/p>\n

Always things to get pictures of on campus\u2026while I was walking to the boot I found some rather large beetles , and at first I thought they were bumble bees but on closer inspection..<\/p>\n

They sure like all the flowers<\/a> but were landing on this plant for some odd reason, it did have flowers<\/a> on the ends of spikes but they weren\u2019t landing on any of the flowers? ok, needed to get back to the detail shop and get things started. so I went back the shop left the key for the detail work and went over for breakfast at Braums. \u2026 From there I headed home\u2026 I got home<\/a> and figured to move a guy<\/a> post<\/a> for the new loop antennas to get a little better angle.  I set a new post, moved the guy<\/a> and the bird house and then found that it was not any better an angle than what I had before.  I spent an hour loosing and tightening the other poles to see if I could get the first corner to straighten up more\u2026 with so many angles and all it was just not going<\/strong> to work like I had hoped\u2026 so back to plan B.. split the difference in the guy<\/strong> pole\u2026but that would wait for another day..<\/p>\n

I got several calls in and out\u2026 set up some appointments for next week, and then it was time<\/a> to get back to town by way of Toyota to find out about the dash replacement ( we have a crack happening in the air bag cover and we had gotten a letter that it was an add and extension to our warranty = they should replace it for free)  The issues is no one<\/strong> has ordered the parts, the time<\/a> delay is pretty long, etc.  I was there for 45 minutes with out much action as they looked up the warranty issue and then had to talk to the maintenance manager\u2026 but by the time<\/strong> they went to talk to him\u2026 he was gone for lunch so I would have to come back after lunch\u2026 I hustled in for lunch as I was now late\u2026 got there just right and off to Slim Chickens.  I got in just in time<\/strong> and off we went , another not spectacular event, they do pretty good with fresh chicken breast and it is not expensive\u2026, guess<\/a> that last part is why we like it. <\/p>\n

With that over I needed to get by the Pharmacy to pick up some meds I had called in that morning\u2026 It has occurred to me that the one<\/strong> place I am most recognized is the pharmacy. I am in there probably every other week and sometimes multiple times per week.  One of those things about getting older, you know your pharmacist way better than you want to.  <\/p>\n

With that pick up done I headed back home<\/a> and went back to the antennas to figure out where the guy<\/strong> post<\/a> should be and work on a few other small yard things.   Mostly I wanted to cut out some limbs and see if that would improve the SWR on the antennas and from testing tonight it did help on 80 meters but the other bands were fine anyway. <\/p>\n

Well after a few hours of trimming and cleaning had to get back to town to pick up Sherrie and the Jeep.  On my way around I spotted this guy, who was peaking over the fence\u2026 <\/p>\n

WAY! over the .  I guess<\/a> the team was practicing and he needed to get film of it , from here I couldn\u2019t tell if there was another film guy<\/strong> on the building walk or not? I picked up the Jeep<\/strong> and Sherrie went on home<\/strong> and then back for exercise workout while I worked on refilling the hummer feeders and other things.  For dinner we almost had Redneck Calamari <\/p>\n

but figured the left over pizza from Pie Five yesterday would be better\u2026so we had left over instead.<\/p>\n

I then  slipped out to the shop and checked into the local Thursday night net and worked on the airplane\u2026 got the wings on and soldered up the landing gear\u2026 not for a few other small details and some glue and it should be done this weekend. <\/p>\n

Oh and I listened to the local police in a hot pursuit this evening so the crazy and strange-o-s are still out there.  At bed time<\/strong> they still were trying to locate the \u201crunner\u201d as he left the vehicle and took off\u2026 I guess\u2026 will have to check the news later to find out what was causing all that.<\/p>\n
