Well, today was a great day\u2026 not.  I got out early so I could get some items in the mail, have breakfast, and put a check in the bank all before my appointment at 11AM\u2026 It seems getting older carries with it having more problems with such things as your teeth\u2026 In my case it was a good problem<\/strong> for the past<\/strong> 60 years that has caused the bad problem<\/strong> now\u2026 My teeth were real hard\u2026 I mean so hard I have never had a cavity!\u2026 On the other hand as a kid I had to have all but 1 of my baby teeth pulled to keep from having double rows\u2026 I had to have my Wisdom teeth cut out when I was 24\u2026 and by cut I mean they had to split them down the middle<\/strong> with hammer and chisel cause the roots were curved around in my jawbone\u2026 about 10 years or maybe 15 ago I had to have one<\/strong> molar pulled because it was so hard it split down the middle<\/strong> (still no cavity, it just cracked down the middle)\u2026 about 8 years ago I had one<\/strong> on the other side do the same thing but that one<\/strong> we got early and \u201creamed\u201d it out and put a crown on it\u2026 at that point I decided to have an implant put back on the other side for the missing tooth\u2026 ever since the implant it just wouldn\u2019t heal up\u2026 so I have had at least 2 laser jobs to cut the gum down and get it cleaned out but to no avail\u2026 then this winter I had a problem<\/strong> with \u201ccapped\u201d tooth. One of those \u201cfelt\u201d problems\u2026 I felt everything, and ice was really a \u201cfelt\u201d problem<\/strong> so in checking it\u2026 it had split more so I got a Root canal done back in May\u2026 but at that time<\/strong> I determined I better check on the implant problem<\/strong> and see what we could do to \u201cheal\u201d it up\u2026 good that I waited as the Dentist said they now find that if the glue runs down a bit it will cause inflammation and has caused some bone deterioration\u2026 oh boy!\u2026 so yesterday I went to have it checked at a Periodontist and got a schedule to get it \u201csmoothed\u201d out and fixed\u2026 hum!\u2026 the fix is that they don\u2019t take it out, they just cut the gums back\u2026 grind in around the implant, freshen up the bone, pack in some Cadaver bone and seal it all back up\u2026 the Cadaver bone is supposed to prompt the natural rebuild of bone in that area as well as they had removed the glue, some of the implant screw threads, etc. to make it smooth for the bone to build up on, etc.\u2026 My schedule was for August 24th\u2026 ok I have time<\/strong> to build the courage to have it all tore up\u2026 then just after I got home they called and said \u2026\u201dwe have a cancelation for tomorrow<\/strong> at 11am do you want that one\u201d\u2026 HELL, I can understand why someone would cancel on one<\/strong> of these but for me\u2026 I need it fixed and the sooner the better\u2026 <\/p>\n

That leads to why I was out early today\u2026 getting some things done that I knew I would not feel like doing in the afternoon and maybe not tomorrow<\/strong> either\u2026 <\/p>\n

On my way in town and it was about 8:15??? I ran into what appeared to be OKC rush hour traffic ?  what the hell is going on here\u2026 <\/p>\n

I am maybe at Braums by this time<\/strong> and had been in traffic like this for about a mile\u2026 and most of them wanted to turn left at Western\u2026?  geez that is a lot<\/strong> of people late for work???<\/p>\n

I went on straight and got my breakfast at McD\u2019s \u2026 got to read the paper that I had cancelled last week causes they are too damn high\u2026 got a Large un-sweet iced tea\u2026 I go that cause they are only $1 for that huge cup and I drink a lot<\/strong> of un-sweet iced tea\u2026 anyway, on to the PO, got the letters mailed, etc., then headed back by the \u201cnew dorms\u201d on Hall of Fame\u2026 they are still working to get them finished up, I thought??? and the parking lot<\/strong> is sure not done more the entrance but when I get there\u2026 all hell has broke loose and there are parents and kids\u2026 oh lots of girls??? hauling stuff into those new dorms\u2026 <\/p>\n

The parking lot<\/strong> across form the Colvin is packed and lines of cars trying to get close, cause it is sprinkling\u2026<\/p>\n

\"SAM_3115\"<\/a><\/p>\n

OH! then the light blinked on\u2026 Hey it is the beginning of RUSH week and all the parents and girls are \u201crushing\u201d in to get into this first week of traditional sorority shopping\u2026 for the next week the campus will be blocked by parades of them going from one<\/strong> house to the next to the union to the dorms etc.\u2026 oh well, I don\u2019t have to go through the campus much anymore, just around it but now\u2026 Hal of Fame will be a mess as well , cause they don\u2019t have the new crossing walk done, they don\u2019t have all the sidewalks done to the old crossings, etc.\u2026 and construction continues\u2026  I may have to use 19th and 12th for a few weeks?  or months?  <\/p>\n

Along with all that I have seen two major accidents at Western and 51 in the past<\/strong> week so that is not fun either..<\/p>\n

\"SAM_3109\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This one<\/strong> was Monday morning and required the Life Net ambulance\u2026 That stuff happens when we go from 25K people to 50K in a span of 2 weeks\u2026 everyone gets crazy and some of them are still texting and attempting to drive or what ever they call it\u2026 <\/p>\n

So, I got my dental work done at 11, missed lunch, was popping pain pills<\/strong> and the after procedure sheet said to not lift anything over 15 lbs. for 2 days and take it easy\u2026  I wonder what not lifting has to do with my mouth?  I don\u2019t pick things up with my teeth?  anyway, I am very familiar with \u201ctaking it easy\u201d \u2026 although would like to get my antenna for 160 meters back in shape by this weekend or at least back up temporary?  I will have to work on it tomorrow, maybe??? <\/p>\n

The pain started to kick back up at about 4pm but I was still 2 hours from the next set of pills<\/strong> so I just sat and watched all the Duck Dynasty episodes from this summer (so far)\u2026 got all caught up on that\u2026and at 6pm was into more pills\u2026 <\/p>\n

Supper tonight was a Braums chocolate shake\u2026 didn\u2019t have to chew that.. but sure wanted a burger and some fries or anything of a solid MEAT product but not for a day<\/strong> or two\u2026 This is the hardest part for a Meat, Taters, and Gravy raised guy\u2026 dealing with \u201csoft\u201d foods for a few days\u2026 hum\u2026 mashed potatoes and gravy\u2026 I could do that\u2026 <\/p>\n

On another note\u2026 I have been keeping up on the \u201cadventures\u201d of an old class-mate..,. She drove their RAZOR bike to Sturgis this past<\/strong> weekend\u2026 yep, SHE\u2026 following her husband with the pickup and trailer from her pictures\u2026 I have asked if I could get a big bike and my wife says sure\u2026 just don\u2019t expect her to be riding on it!  Maybe I will wait a bit and get one<\/strong> of these and go to the bikers bar?   I figure it would be a damn long ride getting it to Sturgis though\u2026.<\/p>\n
