It was a really slow day\u2026 in other words, I didn\u2019t do nothing<\/strong> (of importance).  We went in for breakfast<\/strong> and then hit<\/strong> the Farmers Market\u2026<\/p>\n

picked up some Banana,nut, Carmel muffins for later (since we already had breakfast.  failed to get that picture\u2026 was busy paying out.<\/p>\n

Then we got home<\/strong> and just did a bunch of nothing, although I spent maybe 2 more hours on the coin collection.  Had a box of old pennies (special ones) that I had to inventory\u2026 whew, I got a lot<\/strong> of really old ones\u2026 Anyway about 4:30 and we hadn\u2019t had dinner I figured to go hit<\/strong> the Pawnee Old Time Saturday Night (OTSN)\u2026 I also though we might stop at the Morrison Caf\u00e9 and have dinner\u2026 we should of waited for Pawnee and had the National Champion Indian Taco\u2026 they were there fixing up what appeared to be some really good Indian Taco\u2019s\u2026 but oh well, I had catfish at the caf\u00e9 and it was really good\u2026 and the price was very reasonable.  <\/p>\n

We rolled into Pawnee about 6 PM and figured to make a  walk along the cars<\/strong> (it was billed as bring it all and show it all ) then hit<\/strong> the Dick Tracy Museum. <\/p>\n

We could have had bar b que as there were several that had cooked up some bar b que on the street as well\u2026 Anyway we started the walk\u2026 they had about 3 blocks on both sides filled with old and new cars\u2026 <\/p>\n

Now that is a LOW-Rider\u2026 they sat just inches off the pavement\u2026 <\/p>\n

They even had a special jeep section\u2026 kept them off the street\u2026 bunch of rough riders\u2026<\/p>\n

Nice 67 El Camino\u2026 I had a 69 once but this is a lot<\/strong> nicer than mine was\u2026 <\/p>\n

Right next to the El was this Double Bug\u2026 <\/p>\n

There were a lot<\/strong> of trucks there as well\u2026 big ones, and olds ones and fixed up and not so fixed up\u2026 This one<\/strong> probably should have been with the Jeeps\u2026 ha!<\/p>\n

oh and since it is Pawnee Bill Rodeo weekend there were some queens and candidates hanging around too\u2026<\/p>\n

And some really nice Blue cars\u2026 1953 Mercury\u2026 and I think from the looks it was original \u2013 restored\u2026 no replacement engine and other parts\u2026 what a classic.<\/p>\n

And since there were a lot<\/strong> of people in town most of the stores were open so we checked out some of the ones next to the Museum\u2026 that is an early 1900 drug store cabinet\u2026 he just has it priced at $20000\u2026. <\/p>\n

Since we had the time<\/strong> we also made it out to the Pawnee lake and checked out the old WPA bath house\u2026 really nice building but the swimming hole associated with it \u2026. is dry?<\/p>\n

Not sure why, other than liability problems maybe?  although a lot<\/strong> of the equipment is fairly new\u2026 <\/p>\n

There were some tubers on the lake having a great time\u2026 got this picture<\/strong> and you can tell\u2026 he is about to come off\u2026 I missed the off shot by\u2026.<\/p>\n

We headed back to town and stopped again to check out the music as they had not started when we were there earlier\u2026 <\/p>\n

I don\u2019t remember ever seeing an in-line-6 with 5 carbs on it?  but this one<\/strong> had it?  oh well\u2026 we listened to the music a bit and then struck out for home\u2026you know we turn in to pumpkins if we stay out too late\u2026 <\/p>\n
