The days got earlier as we had to be ready to get out at 7:30 this morning\u2026 but we weren\u2019t docked\u2026 we had to take \u201cTender boats\u201d in for this stop. <\/p>\n

(next year they will have a pier and dock for the boats = 14 million project and then will have to spend 2 mill to fix the road out\u2026 )<\/p>\n

The old cannery that is no more but now houses a lot<\/strong> of shops, a museum of the old cannery equipment and restaurant.. <\/p>\n

As we get there the native dancers are there to greet the visitors\u2026 <\/p>\n

We did the tram ride, and as we start we hear the noise of the zip line<\/strong> sending the harnesses back to the top. <\/p>\n

The Tram was ok but not great\u2026 went through the rain forest the driver talked a bit about things there and we got to walk on the north beach then back\u2026<\/p>\n

We saw some eagles and this deer\u2026 it is the size of a small antelope\u2026 and not too scared\u2026 <\/p>\n

Walking the rocky beach looking for special shells and rocks\u2026 we did find some rocks<\/strong> that were interesting.. <\/p>\n

Some of them were totally covered by clams, and barnacles\u2026 black clams\u2026<\/p>\n

And not just little ones but some rally big ones too\u2026 <\/p>\n

No I didn\u2019t drag them home\u2026 pictures this time<\/strong> are enough for me but we did pick up a couple of small odd shaped ones..<\/p>\n

On our way back in we could hear the zip line\u2026 kind of like a jet engine a distance off\u2026 looking up we could see one<\/strong> group on the way down\u2026 look close as this is supposed to be the longest zip and pretty high up as well\u202645 minutes to drive up in the bus and 90 seconds to ride<\/strong> down\u2026 as an after the fact and knowing a lot<\/strong> more we should of done the zip line<\/a> and the whale watch<\/a> here\u2026 the whale watchers got a real show<\/strong> and they say it is normal here to see at least one<\/strong> in the city harbor \u201cbubble netting\u201d and coming out of the water\u2026 that would have been cool\u2026 <\/p>\n

At the end of the tram ride<\/strong> we moved to the tribal show<\/strong> building and took in the native dance show\u2026 it was interesting but lacked some good chorography\u2026<\/p>\n

While we waited for show<\/strong> time<\/strong> this one<\/strong> gave us some info on the island and other things they have going on\u2026 <\/p>\n

They only had about 7 dancers but at the end they invited any that wanted to join them and we could get pictures then\u2026 It was a great story they told and it all fit nicely into the tour\u2026 <\/p>\n

We then visited the cannery and shops and the museum\u2026 in all the places there are museums and most are free that are great\u2026 for very small items\u2026 <\/p>\n

I had never seen a \u201cNorthern\u201d radio\u2026 <\/p>\n

Once done with out short tour<\/strong> and down the board walk\u2026 we headed back on the tender and back to the ship\u2026 we didn\u2019t go to town but from all accounts it wasn\u2019t much anyway\u2026 I missed the zip line<\/strong> \u2013 we should have tried it even if we don\u2019t like doing such things as it is the longest at present and what a ride\u2026 <\/p>\n
