Today I got out and did my morning<\/strong> walk again.. yes, I am living dangerously but getting at least 2 in this week already\u2026, while walking I had time<\/strong> to think about some family things and how great my parents<\/strong> were at setting us all out on our own, pushing us each to be successful in our own ways, and yet ensuring we remain linked and understand that we need<\/strong> to be there for each other but not get in the way.<\/p>\n

Last night my brother called to give me some info on important things for them, just in case stuff\u2026 and this morning<\/strong> I got to thinking about that and compared it to a lot<\/strong> of people<\/strong> I know, and it occurred to me that my parents<\/strong> did something that caused all three of us (my siblings) to be respectful and just know to not say anything if it might cause a fight.  I  can\u2019t pinpoint any thing<\/strong> that was different when I was growing up than what I did or what other parents<\/strong> I know did but it just seems they (my parents) did something.  Now maybe my brother and sister do not see it the same way but I don\u2019t remember ever having a big family fight.  At least not between us.  Yes, we beat up on each other (I beat up on them as I was much bigger) a lot<\/strong> as kids but as adults it seems we are always there for the others no matter what.  We may not agree all the time<\/strong> but, in my case, I just keep my mouth shut as I respect that it is or was their decision\u2026 but I can\u2019t remember of anything that I really didn\u2019t agree with them on\u2026 <\/p>\n

On the other end of all that I have met people<\/strong> that can\u2019t stand their brother or sister or just don\u2019t get along and some never talk to each other\u2026 I see families fighting over everything, like inheritance or \u201cthings\u201d. Kids hammering on parents<\/strong> and whining that they are not treated fair or want more than the others\u2026  Maybe my parents<\/strong> gave us the ability to be independent and make our own fortunes and in that way we do not have any desire to fight over the other stuff?  I am not sure what it is but I really like it that we are still depending and leaning on each other and will till the end\u2026 It <\/p>\n

Enough of that stuff\u2026 oh wait, I had an old work friend call me yesterday just to hook up\u2026 I had been kidding him on his Facebook page that he must of left the country or something\u2026 so he called\u2026 I find that another great thing<\/strong> in life now that I am retired and not so worried about work, that I still have some friends that I made over the years and now that I have the time<\/strong> to think about it, they mean more now than they did back then\u2026 Thanks Greg\u2026<\/p>\n

It was just another one<\/strong> of those lazy summer days\u2026 after the walk I sat on the back deck and had some bran cereal\u2026 need<\/strong> the fiber the doctor says\u2026 I then got out and did some parts locating for the next airplane for GS#2\u2026 had to get some cardboard the proper length and direction of the corrugations and I got all that cut and ready.  It has been awhile since I did some of those older planes and I had to review the plans and go back over the measurements as the pieces I had didn\u2019t seem right and they are not\u2026 they are for marking the wings for holes so they are bigger than the actual pieces I needed for the inside parts\u2026 <\/p>\n

Took off about noon for lunch<\/strong> in town\u2026 another exciting then\u2026 well at least I enjoy picking up Sherrie and going out to lunch, even if it is not great (although we did Subway today and split the sandwich)\u2026 so we did healthy for lunch\u2026 then after lunch<\/strong> I went out to the new Academy store\u2026 looked around and picked up a fishing lure rigger\u2026 pictures tomorrow\u2026 that I am using to hang some of my can humming birds\u2026 kind of a neat way to hang them out\u2026 more like several are clustered up\u2026 When I got home I put the new rig out and the birds<\/strong> on it\u2026 then back to the shop and got started on more parts for the new airplane\u2026 I hope it comes out better than this one<\/strong> (last of the tri-wings I built)\u2026<\/p>\n

I should have taken the date off , cause that was a long time<\/strong> ago\u2026 <\/p>\n

It also appears I need<\/strong> to do a few more humming birds, if the cluster thing<\/strong> works out \u2026 I got lots of cans to use up\u2026 and that damn grass\u2026 might have to mow again this weekend\u2026 <\/p>\n
