Well, I got rocks<\/strong> today.  Not sure why I pick a day<\/strong> of over 90 and no wind and high humidity to get out and work the yard but I did it today\u2026 actually when I got out early it was real nice\u2026 but by the time<\/strong> I got into the harder part of the work it was just damn hot\u2026 Sweating like a sinner in church I was\u2026 <\/p>\n

Gathered myself up, and got the trailer<\/strong> hooked up to the jeep early\u2026 and off to town\u2026 but first breakfast at Braums\u2026 had a need for the breakfast burrito and some tea\u2026 once that was down I whipped it on around to the pharmacy and left a prescription to be refilled, said I would be back in afternoon but plumb out forgot that return trip?  guess I will have to make that run<\/strong> tomorrow\u2026 Anyway I got out to the Rocks and things place out south and this time<\/strong> had a sample with me to check against the available rocks<\/strong> but none of them exactly matched what we already had but since it would be hidden at the end of the row I got what would come semi close to what we had\u2026 got it loaded on the trailer<\/strong> and \u2026. OUCH! paid the bill.  When he was saying $0.17 a pound for the border rocks<\/strong> and figured the other might be about the same I didn\u2019t imagine I would get that many pounds but it sure adds up fast\u2026 <\/p>\n

That is $147 worth of rocks?\u2026 didn\u2019t even really make the trailer<\/strong> squat?  oh well\u2026 <\/p>\n

I had laid out the barrier material some time<\/strong> ago and got some plants in  and it was ready for the rocks\u2026 so ? <\/p>\n

I moved the red wall rocks<\/strong> out, straightened up the curved end in the bottom and then laid out the border rocks<\/strong> on the barrier material\u2026 then laid out the fill rocks<\/strong> inside all that\u2026 and it looks a lot better now.<\/p>\n

I still need to put in some more of the bulbs in the middle and get a bit more water on the grass clump on this end but it is essentially done\u2026 <\/p>\n

I had a few rocks<\/strong> left over and since the upper corner had washed and fallen down I figured , why not build it back up and fill it back in where the down spout comes out\u2026 so had to do a little digging and placed some of the bigger rocks<\/strong> under the border ones that should help hold them up as well as smooth out the dirt on the outside to fill in the hole\u2026 it got to this point at lunch<\/strong> time..<\/p>\n

But geez I forgot that the drip<\/strong> hose was so shallow and cut it so then had to go get some repair<\/strong> parts\u2026 I thought I had a couple in the drip<\/strong> box but no such luck\u2026 so back to Lowes for more parts.. but will do that after lunch..<\/p>\n

Took off at noon for lunch<\/strong> in town and I was hot, sweaty and already wore out\u2026 so since we went to Wendy\u2019s for lunch<\/strong> we shared a frosty for desert there\u2026 that was pretty good \u2026 Remember I had left the prescription to pick up after noon\u2026 well as I started out that direction I thought , maybe Sears had some better Bug zappers as my old one<\/strong> had died\u2026 so I stopped off there , but they didn\u2019t have any\u2026 he recommended Tractor Supply\u2026 From Sears I headed to tractor supply but they didn\u2019t have any\u2026 the lady said , \u201clast year they sent us a whole pallet of them and this year we got none\u201d  oh well\u2026 so then it was back to Lowes for the plumbing parts for the drip<\/strong> line.,.. at first the box for the 1\/2 inch couplers was empty and I was about to give up when\u2026 I thought\u2026? what are those boxed behind for\u2026 so I pulled one<\/strong> out and sure enough it was a box of 1\/2 inch couplers\u2026 so I opened it up, set<\/strong> it in front and took two out\u2026 They must have had a run<\/strong> on stuff and the plumbing guys had not restocked?  I helped them out\u2026 <\/p>\n

I got my parts and headed out\u2026 but by then I had totally forgotten the prescription but on my way home figured I should check Walmart for a bug zapper of the right size and configuration\u2026 I don\u2019t like those one<\/strong> with square screens the dead bugs just get hung up and you have to clean them out all the time<\/strong> so I look for the ones with up and down bars\u2026 well they had one<\/strong> and it looked ok so I picked it up and then figured \u2026 hey it is damn hot and I still have some rock work to do so I better get some Beer\u2026 for after the finish\u2026 I went over and got the beer (looking for interesting can designs for some of my other projects )\u2026 then I figured I might grill some chicken kabobs so needed some chicken breast tenders, but wait, why not add some stuff to the kabobs that I don\u2019t have\u2026 I do have an onion and pepper but some jalapeno pepper would be good and maybe some mushroom?  ok, at that point I needed to get out of Walmart\u2026 <\/p>\n

Got my supplies home\u2026 took the bug light out and set<\/strong> it up with the extra mosquito attractant in it and then finished up the drip<\/strong> line repair<\/strong> and then finished up the rocks\u2026 ooops forgot to get a finished picture\u2026 tomorrow\u2026 then while testing the drip<\/strong> repair<\/strong> I found that the timer\/valves were leaking real bad\u2026 never noticed that before\u2026 so I set<\/strong> out to get that fixed\u2026 finally found that it was the washer in the valves had been squeezed apart and was leaking through them so I took those valves off, got two out of my box, got them on\u2026 hooked up, tested\u2026 no more leaks\u2026 great\u2026 then spent some time<\/strong> getting the pinched off rubber washers out of the old valves and hope that they are now ok to reuse when I get new strainer washers for them\u2026 so back ion the box\u2026 and get the trailer<\/strong> moved out of the way and the tools put up and \u2026 crap it was 4pm by then\u2026 I went out and got the mail and pretty much gave up for the rest of the day\u2026 although after supper I went out and did a little more gluing on the new airplane\u2026 I might have it done by the end of the week?  <\/p>\n

With a few more pieces cut out and glued, I headed in for a shower and bed\u2026 it was hot out and it ain\u2019t even in the upper 90\u2019s yet\u2026 But the beer sure was good\u2026 <\/p>\n
