Well, I got the Jeep washed the next day (June 4th) and I got some work done on the airplane\u2026 since I am having to measure, test, cut, test then glue it I am pretty slow.\u00a0 Always seems to be some distraction after I get the glue on and waiting for a dry..<\/p>\n

\"SAM_2463\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I got to this point last night\u2026 couple more pieces and glue time again..<\/p>\n

Today, I had figured to make<\/strong> a run<\/strong> to Sapulpa for the Route 66<\/strong> Blow-out\u2026 I wanted to see the cars and and what ever else they have going on\u2026 so we took off after breakfast (late) and headed that way\u2026 We got there about 11:30 am\u2026 no we are not very fast\u2026 It was pretty hot in Downtown\u2026 so figured we would not last long\u2026 but started out and they had a lot<\/strong> of cars and the crowd was lined up for a long ways\u2026<\/p>\n

Plenty of vendor booths as well\u2026 but most of it was ???? just stuff\u2026 Junk in my books but that\u2019s ok\u2026 stopped in at the Art Center and visited with \u201cdistant\u201d relatives and looked at some Art and cooled off\u2026 then on down the street..<\/p>\n

I did see this at one<\/strong> vendor\u2026 interesting as they all move and spin\u2026 thought of the grandsons but we didn\u2019t get any\u2026 will have to look for some more\u2026 they are Lego style and you can make<\/strong> anything you want and make<\/strong> it spin\u2026 uses a couple of AAA batteries\u2026 just fun stuff\u2026<\/p>\n

The cars were lined up along that street<\/strong> and usually 1 block each direction off that street\u2026<\/p>\n

Lots of 55, 56 and 57 Chevy types out\u2026<\/p>\n

I had a 64 just like this in white years ago\u2026 should have kept that\u2026 what a mistake in selling\u2026 it would be worth a small fortune now\u2026 if fixed up\u2026<\/p>\n

I would like to have a street<\/strong> rod, not sure why, other than just fun to drive and I did find this one<\/strong> that I might be able to afford and it was for sale\u2026 !<\/p>\n

Real nice and the gold color is a great set on this one\u2026 some cost enough that you could gold plate them as much as they cost to fix up they way they did them\u2026<\/p>\n

Now this had a nice touch\u2026 don\u2019t see window trays anymore\u2026<\/p>\n

Also a lot<\/strong> of mustangs\u2026 65, 66, and some 67\u2026 a lot<\/strong> of red ones?\u00a0 they did make<\/strong> other colors too?<\/p>\n

There was a Jeep Club there \u201cjeepers anonymous\u201d<\/a>\u00a0 not sure I would have let that guy drive up on my tire\u2026 afraid it would come on over the hood\u2026\u00a0 They had a big group in the show\u202615 jeeps maybe more?<\/p>\n

I believe they were Chryslers?\u00a0 neatly done\u2026<\/p>\n

The square dance club or OK is giving this 66<\/strong> away and the date is Nov 7\u2026? so I figured it might be a good date for Sherrie to win a car\u2026 ? I bought 3 tickets..<\/p>\n

We got hot again so headed into a Jun Q E store to look at stuff, hopefully older than us\u2026 did find some old stuff but we remember most of it?\u00a0 so maybe not older ?<\/p>\n

That is one<\/strong> thing<\/strong> I ain\u2019t never had\u2026 a sandwich\u2026 I like it in pie but ????? sandwich?<\/p>\n

Lot of nice orange vehicle\u2026 this might have been the nicest in orange\u2026 lot<\/strong> of work went into this one\u2026<\/p>\n

There were several cars for sale\u2026 this was the first tag for sale that you get the car<\/strong> free???<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t know Al but maybe he better check this out\u2026 some guy selling his car?<\/p>\n

When we left we made a short tour of main street<\/strong> and at the motor cycle place saw this\u2026 I had heard about the slingshots but first time I had seen one\u2026 it is appropriately named\u2026 two seats, 3 wheels, and probably real fast, like real trouble fast\u2026<\/p>\n

We headed on home\u2026 I was all set to take 412 home but Sherrie said why not old 51\u2026 well it ain\u2019t old and it is 4 lane out through Mannford from Sand Springs\u2026 but we took it anyway\u2026 less traffic, easy road\u2026 we did take a detour north at Mannford\u2026 I wanted to see the campground there\u2026 no luck as the lake has the road<\/strong> closed\u2026 on up the road<\/strong> is the sandy beach and Akdar Shrine park, again, road<\/strong> covered\u2026 so we just toured a few roads and housing areas and found this\u2026<\/p>\n

Way cool moving water, moving water<\/strong> wheel, great rock layout\u2026 must have a good sized pump to run<\/strong> enough water<\/strong> to have the streams it had and waterfall\u2026 I said we need to get a pump in the pond and run<\/strong> water<\/strong> down our river??? not likely\u2026 but she did say If I did that I would have to put in a bridge over it\u2026 too much work I am thinking but ? If it wasn\u2019t also the addition drainage to the pond I might but the drainage thing<\/strong> brings in some complications..<\/p>\n

We moved on home from there and agreed it would be a good day for a Root beer float\u2026 so run<\/strong> up to A&W to get one\u2026 placed my order and for the second time, (we tried the same thing<\/strong> last summer)\u2026 they didn\u2019t have any ice cream?\u00a0 why even have the damn float on your menu if you never have the ice cream.. only other A&W I went to that didn\u2019t have the float was in Canada about 20 years ago\u2026 and they didn\u2019t even know what a float was up there\u2026 so we went to Sonic and they were happy to serve up a root beer float\u2026 \u2026 Didn\u2019t get much else done after that\u2026 tinkered and napped and ?? played \u2026<\/p>\n
