I didn\u2019t get much done today\u2026 gathered myself out of bed and had some yogurt and breakfast bar for breakfast (of course)\u2026 <\/p>\n

Then checked email, and a few small chores around and played a little radio<\/strong> this morning\u2026  I got out some flower<\/strong> seeds and spread them out in an area that I won\u2019t mow and hope that some of them come up\u2026 I had found a really old bag of Blue Flax seeds as well as some old Portulaca seeds so I put the blue flax out and some of the \u201cmoss rose\u201d in a rough spot and then I put a few of the moss rose in one<\/strong> of the flower<\/strong> beds<\/strong> in spots that get dry in the summer, maybe they will do ok there?   I also took down the bug zapper that had quit\u2026 thought that maybe it was just the bulb<\/strong> as it was warm?  Which meant the transformer was working.  I took off to Lowes to find a replacement bulb<\/strong> and maybe pick up some \u201con sale\u201d plants for a few more spots\u2026 and get me some lunch\u2026On the way in I came across what must have been \u201cBeer Truck Day\u201d\u2026 <\/p>\n

All these in about 4 blocks\u2026 strange no Coors?  maybe they deliver on different days? <\/p>\n

On to Lowes and I got what I thought was the correct bulb<\/strong> and then got me a cheap lunch<\/strong> at Taco Bell\u2026 yea exciting isn\u2019t it. On leaving the Bell and heading home<\/strong> captured this OSU spirited vehicle\u2026 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u2026 then home<\/strong> to work on that zapper.  When I got home<\/strong> I found that the bulb<\/strong> was not the right one? It was 2 inches too long?  Hummm\u2026 So I headed back to Walmart<\/strong> to check their bulbs\u2026 they had one<\/strong> with come numbers close to what I had but not exact but had the right plug on it so I got one<\/strong> but it too was not correct, too small\u2026 so once again back home\u2026 I grabbed the tube that was a little too big and noticed I could take out the bottom of the shroud and test the bulb<\/strong> anyway\u2026 so back to a safe condition I tried the new bulb<\/strong> but the zapper was dead\u2026 so it has more than the bulb<\/strong> wrong\u2026 which it was fine till we got all the rain and I would suppose that it may have gotten fried in one<\/strong> of the big blowing storms we had\u2026 The next best thing was just order a new one<\/strong> , since Lowes didn\u2019t have any zappers and Walmart<\/strong> only had the small ones\u2026 <\/p>\n

With that done, I worked on some more stuff in the shop and when it got close to time for me to head off to the local Ham Club meeting<\/strong> I left early to return the wrong bulbs\u2026   Our Ham club meets the first Tuesday of each month and during the summer that is also the time for the Bikes and Tunes<\/a> or something like that in Downtown Stillwater<\/a>\u2026  With that I made it a point to drive (slowly) down main street on my way to the club meeting<\/strong> to see what was building for tonight\u2026 well there were a lot of bikes that and I guess this qualifies?<\/p>\n

Honest he was headed to downtown<\/p>\n

After the club meeting<\/strong> I got home<\/strong> and went to the radio\u2026 made a few contacts\u2026 strange that 15 meter was working<\/strong> a little on JT65 \u2026 couldn\u2019t get the Chinese station (BG2IUR) to answer me, did pick up Kazakhstan (UN7BEW), Russia ( RW0SR), and Australia (VK2OR)\u2026 <\/p>\n
