Well, not much to tell, but we have been real busy\u2026 Got up and hit the road yesterday\u2026 stopped in  Guthrie for breakfast\u2026 not exciting, just Braums\u2026 The whole thing from home south through OKC and even up over the pass near Davis it was foggy\u2026 so much so in spots that I totally missed seeing the Davis exit and much of the Turner Falls exit\u2026 it was supper thick going up and over the pass\u2026 then on the other side it started to clear a bit and by the time we got to Ardmore it was just very low clouds\u2026 Then it rained a little and quit and then rained a little and quit\u2026 <\/p>\n

The Red River is getting to near severe flood<\/strong> stage under I-35\u2026 <\/p>\n

As we crossed the river<\/strong> got this picture\u2026 not great but shows it is way , way up for the Red\u2026 pulled this from a news report\u2026 before this weekends rains\u2026<\/p>\n

\"flood\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Now they say it is spilling over the emergency spill on Lake Texhoma<\/a>\u2026 only done that 3 times before in the history of the lake 1957, 1990, and 2007\u2026 now it is 4 times and the rain keeps coming?  How High will it go? <\/p>\n

Anyway we moved on to our destination in Frisco\u2026 Grandma needed a Grandson fix\u2026 <\/p>\n

GS<\/strong> #2\u2026 and<\/p>\n

GS<\/strong> #1  – yes he is taking Hockey practice<\/strong> this year and will probably practice<\/strong> some in summer?  At least he can skate\u2026 and handles the stick pretty good for only doing it a few weeks..<\/p>\n

As soon as we got here we had to all split\u2026 GS#2 had practice<\/strong> and had to be their early to get all that stuff on\u2026 so some of us went to Taco cabana for lunch\u2026 then on to the hockey rink\u2026 we watched a little and then had to get GS#2 back for his nap\u2026 good excuse for me to tag along \u2026 for a nap\u2026 The rains came later in the evening a bit harder and my phone kept going off in the middle of the night\u2026 I have the Red Cross apps for weather warning things like floods and tornados, etc.. we we had 2 Flood Warnings\u2026 but I wasn\u2019t as worried\u2026 we sleep on the second floor so the flood<\/strong> needed to get real serious to get me wet\u2026 I turned the phone off\u2026 <\/p>\n

Today we got up late\u2026 kind of dogged around and had Kolaches for breakfast\u2026 boy are they good\u2026 I had intended to go get them but SIL<\/strong> beat me to it and I sure appreciate that\u2026 He said he had to do the HIGH JUMP to get out to his car across the wet flooded sidewalk and the river<\/strong> in the drains but that is ok\u2026 he is young and can hand all that exercise\u2026 ha!<\/p>\n

We all split up again as the women and GS#2 took off to church\u2026 while SIL<\/strong> and GS#1 went for haircuts and I tagged along\u2026 It was a busy shop with 10 chairs and noisy\u2026 it also appeared to me that everyone got about the same haircut?  makes it easy for the barbers and by the way there were at least 3 men barbers in this cut shop\u2026 something you don\u2019t see a lot of anymore\u2026 Once they were done we took off to check out another sports shop as SIL<\/strong> is looking for skates\u2026 some for GS#2 and or SIL<\/strong> as he thinks he will take up some skating activity?  Sounds good to me\u2026 as it will be cool in the arena as opposed to hot out on the Baseball fields\u2026 The shop was way over in McKinney\u2026 well that is not too far in the Dallas area\u2026 once we saw what they had which wasn\u2019t much we toured the park to see the flood<\/strong> there and back through down town\u2026 I should have been getting pictures instead of so much tourist gawking\u2026 but did get a little flood<\/strong> at the park..<\/p>\n

Hard to tell but the walking bridge over the creek is under water,  and all the debris is being washed up to the upper ends here\u2026 <\/p>\n

They said that was a pool, maybe wading pool at the park but now it will need some serious cleaning\u2026 <\/p>\n

We left there and headed on up 75 to the Costco there\u2026 I don\u2019t get to a them very often as we don\u2019t have any in Oklahoma City (we are Sam’s Club members because they pay me to use their credit card)\u2026 Anyway, I found out that if you get to Costco at the right time you can have lunch\u2026 tested sausages\u2026 cheese<\/strong> and jalapeno.. strawberries on shortcake, and the others had to test the pineapple, lemonade, Indian spice stuff, and then we had some grilled cheese<\/strong> sandwich pieces made with flavored butters\u2026 really like the French onion butter on that grilled cheese\u2026 so much we go a tub of that and the garlic and spice butter\u2026 they had many other samples but I was good until the end\u2026 GS#1 wanted the ice cream in a cup\u2026 about a 12 ounce cup  so I got the one<\/strong> with strawberries in my (for $1.45)  so my lunch<\/strong> was done\u2026 from the sample corners\u2026 <\/p>\n

Got home and skipped any further lunch<\/strong> from the leftover barbeque we had last night\u2026 and then \u2026. took another nap\u2026 hey it was still raining\u2026<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
