This is a good primer and starting point for Solar Panels.\u00a0 I am still looking into it but from an economic standpoint it is hard to justify right now.\u00a0 The real problem is not knowing the future cost of energy \u2013 especially electric.\u00a0 The other real problem with solar<\/strong> panels is the need for storage. The batteries are expensive and not yet up\u00a0 to the equal of the panels for use.\u00a0 Solar might be great when the sun shines but when it dark out, there is no power coming in so you have to revert to the electric company or have battery storage.\u00a0 All that said, I am still looking at it and the government tax credit is tempting but not enough yet to get me off the center point on this.\u00a0 I have it figured it will be a very big initial investment to implement solar.\u00a0 It may be\u00a0 more economical here to look at wind<\/strong> power but that too is not consistent.\u00a0 The day<\/strong> we need a lot<\/strong> of power, are usually the days we have no wind<\/strong> (dang hot).\u00a0 – WD0AJG<\/p>\n
