Well, today it seemed like a good day<\/strong> to get out and do a road<\/strong> trip.  I had not been in Drumright in a very long time<\/strong> and way back then I just was in a hurry to get through it.  This time<\/strong> I wanted to find the Tidewater winery?<\/a><\/p>\n

Curious about the place<\/strong> and the venue of having music and meals on third Thursdays?    So after church we set off on a short road<\/strong> trip\u2026 well first was lunch\u2026<\/p>\n

and we h ad to drop off some citronella cuttings that a friend wanted\u2026 but then on the road<\/strong> and off toward Perkins and then Cushing\u2026 I wanted to find the Dangerous Motors<\/a> there\u2026 they had advertised in the local paper that they do custom rebuilds and figured I should check and see what they had\u2026not that I am getting one<\/strong> but always interested..  They had two 55 chevy\u2019s in the front\u2026 but not much else to look<\/strong> at\u2026 <\/p>\n

I had one<\/strong> a long time<\/strong> ago,  although Mine didn\u2019t look<\/strong> that good\u2026 ha! and was a real lemon.  Always something going<\/strong> wrong that had to be fixed.  <\/p>\n

The real interesting thing about Cushing and Drumwright is the building<\/strong> muriels\u2026 a lot<\/strong> of them\u2026<\/p>\n

And a lot<\/strong> of churches and some a bit strangely built or rather old style\u2026 I am sure I missed a lot<\/strong> of the building<\/strong> paintings in Cushing but then we were off to Drumright\u2026 and they have a lot<\/strong> there as well\u2026<\/p>\n

oh and Drumright is filled with old antique stores\u2026 <\/p>\n

with unique attractions\u2026 this one<\/strong> had a soda fountain in the front, closed on sunday but interesting to peak in..<\/p>\n

The real reason I stopped here was the super chicken on the corner caught my eye\u2026 then all the other stuff popped out\u2026 ha!<\/p>\n

And this one???? had to look<\/strong> close and read the name on the building???? seems I remember one<\/strong> that looked a lot<\/strong> like this south of Lamar\u2026 all gone now but back in the 70\u2019s some of the shack were still standing and I had asked what had been in the area and one<\/strong> old timer said it was a half way stop for trucklers coming up out of Texas on 287 headed to Denver\u2026 (that old place<\/strong> was just at the bottom of Gobblers Knob\u2026 find that one\u2026 ha!<\/p>\n

Well we finally found the winery\u2026 and it was open?  think they had a reception going<\/strong> on that was just over so we snuck in and looked around the store, used the facilities and I bought a bottle of wine\u2026 might have to make it back for one<\/strong> of the Third Thursday things?  interesting place\u2026 <\/p>\n

Well we had reached the point that I was looking for so it was time<\/strong> to head home\u2026 the rest of the evening was spent reading, radio, and other things of no interest to anyone but use\u2026 <\/p>\n
