Well, we finallly got our first spring storm and it was a doozy for those south and east of us\u2026 we got diddly.  No rain, little wind, and that was it\u2026 but just  a few miles east there was big hail\u2026 and in a few other spots, big wind<\/strong> that goes round and big wind<\/strong> that goes straight\u2026 I am thankful we didn\u2019t get the bad wind<\/strong> but could have used some rain\u2026 <\/p>\n

looking SE<\/strong> from our house\u2026 can see the hail (white in the middle) as well as see it was pretty dark storm\u2026 <\/p>\n

Today was a travel day\u2026 on the road<\/strong> again\u2026 but not like Willy\u2026 The alarm went off way too early for a retired guy\u2026 but we got with it, packed it up and out we went\u2026 the temps when we left were in the 40\u2019s\u2026 not too bad\u2026 but by the time<\/strong> we got into Kansas it was hitting 35\u2026 hey when the sun comes up it is supposed to warm up, right?   it was cold and windy in Salina when I filled up with gas\u2026 but getting up to about 39\u2026 we headed west and before Hays hit<\/strong> a cloud bank , pretty dark, and the temps dropped from 40 back to 35 agn\u2026 then just after we left Colby or ??? Goodland it cleared again and by the time<\/strong> we hit<\/strong> Burlington it was in the 40\u2019s  then by the time<\/strong> we got to the Springs it was almost 70\u2026 in fact they (wife, dogs, and kids) sat outside and shaved Sherries two dogs\u2026 and most were in shorts\u2026 so it was an up and down and up and down and up day\u2026 <\/p>\n

I promised myself to stop<\/strong> a bit more often\u2026 was hard to keep that promise.  I am one that when I hit<\/strong> the road<\/strong> or have a goal I want to get it done, not \u201cpiddle\u201dalong doing it\u2026 but I did stop<\/strong> a few extra times\u2026 we stopped in Colorado for a break\u2026 Siebert I think\u2026 no it was Arriba\u2026you know that mexican fast place\u2026 anyway it was a stop<\/strong> more for the dogs<\/strong> than us but we were confused\u2026 <\/p>\n

These were the signs<\/strong> we first saw\u2026 and were about to go find a country road<\/strong> spot but look closer\u2026<\/p>\n

You need to exercise the pets on the native grass, not the blue grass in the front\u2026 not a bad idea but maybe the front<\/strong> signs<\/strong> should just be arrows to point  to the signs<\/strong> in the back?  <\/p>\n

So we are here, and Grandma is getting her hugs, and smiles and will do her thing for a couple of days\u2026 <\/p>\n
