OK, I admit that I did sleep pretty hard the other night\u2026 that was way more ditch digging than I would want to do unless there was a gain for me\u2026 my gain?  I hopefully won\u2019t have to repair my coax and cables this summer\u2026 I am not saying how many times I have had to fix them but I wouldn\u2019t do all that labor if there wasn\u2019t a good reason\u2026 <\/p>\n

Yesterday\u2026 was another headache day\u2026 I started out with the weed eater, to mow down that tall decorative grass\u2026 <\/p>\n

I got started on that project and got the grass in front of the house, around the water feature, cut out\u2026 I moved up to the ones above and got on clump cut down and laid the trimmer<\/strong> down (running) and  it died?  <\/p>\n

I tried pull starting and it would almost start but not keep running then I noticed that it seemed to be locked in and the blade was turning all the time I tried to start it???? A little more looking and figured that the auto clutch was locked down\u2026 and then it appeared there was some push out on the plastic housing.. oh boy\u2026 I packed it up and made a couple stops to check repairs before lunch<\/strong> and found it would cost about half of a new one<\/strong> to get this fixed and might take weeks to get that done\u2026 and of course it was just off warranty\u2026 so rather than fight with it\u2026 I would just get a new one<\/strong> after lunch<\/strong> and pay the few bucks more for an extended warranty on the next one\u2026 <\/p>\n

Of course we had another exciting lunch\u2026NOT!  and then I went back and picked up a new trimmer.  I may try tearing the old one<\/strong> down and fix myself or maybe not?  I did get back to the Grass trim and got the rest of the clumps mowed down.  <\/p>\n

On another note\u2026 I have been trapping sparrows that think they are going to invade the Blue Bird boxes I have\u2026 I have a neat little trap that fits in the door<\/strong> and slaps the hole shut when they hop in\u2026 then I just get an old Wal-Mart sack, go open the door<\/strong> enough so they fly into the sack and \u2026 poof or rather WHACK\u2026 they are gone.  I am getting maybe 1 to 2 per day\u2026 and even with all that I have more than I can deal with\u2026 I did see , what I think were anyway, Purple Martins flying pretty high up this afternoon\u2026 might be they are moving through or checking out the available housing spots\u2026 once I see a few on the houses I have then I will pull the doors off so they can pick their apartments\u2026 for now I have to keep the damn sparrows out\u2026 <\/p>\n

When I went back to Lowes for the trimmer, I spotted this in the lot\u2026 I think it is a Girls Jeep?  Nothing wrong with that\u2026 I have seen a few others in town\u2026 One had a sticker on the back about a Girls jeep too\u2026 <\/p>\n

Today, since it was supposed to be BAD weather, Sherrie didn\u2019t want her car out in the hail so I had to take here to work\u2026 which is ok, it gives me an excuse to not start any project too early\u2026 ha.  Since I was in town anyway I stopped at McD\u2019s for a quick breakfast\u2026 you know they serve oatmeal and juice\u2026 ( but I didn\u2019t have that\u2026 ha!)\u2026 I did see this Cowboy (must be a real one<\/strong> as he had his spurs on?)  <\/p>\n

He was having oatmeal! so he was eating right\u2026 Back in my day, most of the cowboys would keep a pair of \u2018hush puppies\u201d to wear and drive in and swap off the boots until they needed them\u2026 <\/p>\n

When I got home I let the dogs out and went out side to WHACK another sparrow\u2026 and do a better job of sealing up the underground conduit ends in case it does rain here\u2026 that probably diverted our chance for rain?  When I came back in the house I caught this\u2026<\/p>\n

I tell Sherrie to not leave her pillow out as the little dog will use it\u2026 she likes pillows and it appeared she really liked this one\u2026 <\/p>\n

I then went back in for lunch.  Today we had a invite for free pizza at the new Pie 5\u2026 We had eaten at one<\/strong> in Dallas last winter and they are pretty good\u2026 Anyway when we got there the line was out the door\u2026 but free pizza??? worth the wait\u2026 as we entered we were greeted by Josh Fields at the door<\/strong> explaining that it was a chipotle style pizza as you can pick and choose what goes on the pie and then it is done in 5 minutes\u2026 It was a bit slow but worth the wait\u2026 we had pizza for left over too\u2026 <\/p>\n

They have an outside eating area ( smartly placed on the \u201cnorth\u201d of the building so it won\u2019t be in the burning sun this summer\u2026 might bet used\u2026 was used today but it was not hot out either\u2026 <\/p>\n

After lunch<\/strong> I made a run to get the jeep filled, then pick up some things for the kids\u2026 seems they are running out of taco shells, a special thing<\/strong> for them as they can\u2019t get this thin type out where they live and we will be making a trip soon so I was collecting\u2026 actually I about wiped out one<\/strong> Wal-Mart of all the big boxes\u2026 <\/p>\n

I hope this is enough for awhile\u2026 They said get all I could get\u2026 oh and they wanted a bunch of the tortilla that they can cook as they need them\u2026 those are in the middle\u2026 <\/p>\n

Once I got the load in I swung down main street and was shocked to see we have a new business here in Stillwater??? not sure where they can find water clear enough to use? <\/p>\n

Yep we have a Dive shop\u2026 hummm\u2026 I haven\u2019t see too many areas that the water is clear enough to see your hand in front of your face?  but maybe there is\u2026 I am not looking in the right<\/strong> spots\u2026 or they travel further east? <\/p>\n

I got all that stuff home, re-packaged and some in the freezer and then worked on some finance stuff and computer work\u2026 oh boy\u2026 before I knew it I had to head back on to pick up Sherrie \u2026 On the way in I spotted this\u2026<\/p>\n

Maybe they didn\u2019t like them? not sure if they were pink or orange?  But if someone can shinny up a pole, there are a decent looking set of BB shoes up there\u2026 ha!<\/p>\n

Anyway we had alarms, and sirens and all kinds of things going off this evening but right<\/strong> here\u2026 we didn\u2019t get much of anything other than a little wind\u2026 We did get to see constant coverage of the storms<\/strong> on local TV\u2026 for 5 hours\u2026 or more\u2026I didn\u2019t stick with it\u2026 and the most annoying things is the cable TV<\/strong> warning\u2026 like we need that along with all the other crap going off and it was way louder than the regular TV<\/strong> and didn\u2019t have anything of substance on it other than the national weather service issued a warning\u2026 what was worse\u2026. our warning was for Creek and Tulsa county\u2026 ?  what’s up with that\u2026 at least the cable could customize it a little so it only went off for Payne county and was only a bar on the screen with the verbal warning or something\u2026That think totally took out the TV<\/strong> channels and you couldn\u2019t change channels when it went off\u2026 oh well, we were warned\u2026 <\/p>\n

So we have had our first real spring set of storms<\/strong> and the TV<\/strong> coverage for that blocks out everything else\u2026 sure glad I don\u2019t watch much TV\u2026 At least these storms<\/strong> were early and hopefully the weather radio will not blare all night long\u2026 ha!<\/p>\n
