Today was kind of a day to check<\/strong> it all out?  When we got around this morning (late) we decided to go have Jalapeno sausage dogs at the daylight donut shop\u2026 they roll a jalapeno sausage link into a dough and bake it like pigs in a blanket\u2026 they are pretty good.  When we finished that it was a decision to go on out to the local Home and Garden show\u2026 They were charring $3 each to get in but figured that might be cheap if we picked up any good give-always\u2026   We got a few but nothing<\/strong> shattering\u2026 We checked out the plants at both the OSU Horticulture place<\/strong> and the Oklahoma Botanical Garden booth\u2026 some nice plants but nothing<\/strong> seemed to be eye catching for us.  The show<\/strong> was pretty big a sit filled all the buildings including the arena area\u2026 even had food trucks in the arena\u2026 We signed up for a lot<\/strong> of free stuff\u2026 but suspect all we will get are sales calls\u2026? oh well. <\/p>\n

After that we started back in to town and got the urge to visit Scotts Liquidation\u2026 haven\u2019t been in there in months so figured he might have some special junk \u2026 he didn\u2019t most of it was special for someone but not us\u2026 then further in , I made a diversion to the south to show<\/strong> Sherrie that the old trailer park on the south end was gone\u2026 cleared off.  I think that CREC is going to build a new headquarters office over on that lot<\/strong> ( it is across the road from where they are now\u2026 <\/p>\n

From there we routed home<\/strong> by way of the nursery and found they hadn\u2019t started stocking things up yet\u2026 and on home\u2026 well then if we are just running around we need to go to Sam’s in Edmond and cash our refund check\u2026 with the new Sam’s card we get 5% back on gas purchase and 3% on dining and travel\u2026 and 1% on everything else\u2026 so we had a pretty good check<\/strong> for using it over the last 9 months\u2026 So, we took off about 2pm for Edmond with the thought of stopping at the Rocky Mountain Grill<\/a> as we had read they had Green<\/strong> Chili <\/p>\n

Stolen from the Urban spoon page but it would appear the green chili is sans pork\u2026 but that is ok.. as long as it is good green chili sauce. <\/p>\n

and being that we are crazy about Green<\/strong> Chili and usually only get it out in Colorado this was an opportunity\u2026 well we didn\u2019t read the fine print\u2026 place<\/strong> is only open till noon on Saturday \u2026 what a crock\u2026 so we missed out on that tasty opportunity\u2026 next time we will have to reverse our priorities I guess? Anyway we then were hungry and had to find an option 2 or Plan B as some call it\u2026 on down 2nd street looking and thinking and finally Sherrie hit on the idea of Flatire Burgers<\/a>\u2026 ok, I guess she and the kids had been there some time ago but I had not\u2026 it is near the college but we took a very long way around\u2026 missed several turns till we got back over to that place\u2026 got into the parking lot<\/strong> just after the girl scouts had put all their stuff away \u2013 how lucky is that\u2026 and there wasn\u2019t nay wait or line\u2026 but it was like 3:30pm so guess there should be anyone but the seniors looking for senior specials\u2026 but I think this place<\/strong> doesn\u2019t care much about specials for seniors , although they have a special for every day of the week up on wall\u2026 and they have a new addition to the menu\u2026 <\/p>\n

Fried peppers with a dipping sauce\u2026 ?  hum??? yep, green chili\u2019s \u2013 ok lets have that for a starter and see how good this place<\/strong> is\u2026<\/p>\n

Ok, them things were real good\u2026 but I think they were actually Jalapeno’s the waiter only new they were green in color and hot\u2026 but not too hot\u2026 <\/p>\n

But they did have a \u201cGreen<\/strong> Chili Burger\u201d so I got that and it did have big slices of Green<\/strong> chili\u2026 and was pretty good\u2026 pretty messy too\u2026 I didn\u2019t get my own pic of that\u2026 I was hungry\u2026 <\/p>\n

On the way out, I noticed that it was not just flat tire but \u201cno-tire\u201d\u2026 <\/p>\n

After that meal I needed a nap but we had to get out stuff at Sam’s and the money\u2026 we got the stuff and got a big chunk of cash back\u2026 I love when that happens, although the reality is we spent a lot<\/strong> of damn money to get that chunk back\u2026 just nice we are getting a refund on some of it\u2026 <\/p>\n

We loaded our price possessions\u2026 which when you go to Sam’s are usually way too much of some things as it is a \u201cBULK\u201d sales place<\/strong> but the stuff we get in bulk now will not go bad\u2026 just find a place<\/strong> to store it and we will use it all up ( paper towels, and TP)\u2026 <\/p>\n

Back home<\/strong> we were kind of out of it\u2026 so just sat around the rest of\u2026 did watch the 165 wresting match on TV\u2026 OSU had only one guy that made the championship<\/a>(round but he was pretty dynamic\u2026 not many can go 49 matches with out a loss! and 33 this year\u2026 <\/p>\n

On another note\u2026 our basketball teams will be coming home<\/strong> (one<\/strong> and done)\u2026 All year<\/strong> we have heard how tough the Big 12 was\u2026 but look at the records in the tournament and we don\u2019t look too tough right now\u2026 maybe next year<\/strong> we need to not \u201ceat that hype\u201d ?  <\/p>\n

Once that match was over I \u201cretired\u201d to my hobby shop and played radio some\u2026 updated software and nothing<\/strong> much else\u2026 <\/p>\n
