That is what I am doing today.  Well, I did get some things done but since it rained yesterday<\/strong> and was really wet outside, the few things I had focused on just didn\u2019t seem appealing\u2026 I didn’t want to get all wet, trimming out the dried tall grass clumps.. <\/p>\n

I have many of these to cut down for spring growth..<\/p>\n

This morning before breakfast<\/strong> I went out to check for some friends on 40 meters\u2026 no one<\/strong> I knew on but made a contact or two\u2026 there was a lot of Europe in when I got there but within a few minutes they were gone. Got back in and had breakfast<\/strong> and looked out and found we were being invaded by the Blue-Jays\u2026<\/p>\n

There had to be as many as 2 dozen of them back and forth between trees to the north of our yard<\/strong> and some in the South of our yard\u2026 they were so thick and into it I noticed they were chasing a squirrel out from the north open area\u2026 guess they figured what ever he was digging for they wanted it. <\/p>\n

So after that show I did a little paperwork\u2026 you know , getting the bank book and records all caught up\u2026 And did a little reading, catching up on some stuff that was \u201cwaiting\u201d for me to read\u2026 mostly stuff like the last<\/strong> two QST\u2019s, some Elks magazines and the local paper (online).   By then it was time to head in for lunch\u2026 While in I found this \u201cone-legged\u201d sidewalk\u2026 <\/p>\n

I quickly side stepped to the other path because I am not \u2026.. one-legged\u2026 yet.<\/p>\n

I stopped and got a few more things at the store that I forgot yesterday<\/strong> and then home\u2026 I wasn\u2019t going to do much but ended up working on a pole I intend to use<\/strong> for a spreader for a 160 meter loop\u2026 I hope to get it up this summer for use<\/strong> next fall\u2026 Anyway I had to split some ends to use<\/strong> hose clamps to tighten it up and put in an extension to get it over 20 ft up\u2026<\/p>\n

I hope it is strong enough to hold the corner of the loop?  it will be easy to take down and has a pulley at the top so I can raise and lower the loop.<\/p>\n

Once that was done I put the tools up and came in just before Sherrie got home\u2026 we hade our normal discussion about \u201cwhat you want for supper\u201d \u201cI don\u2019t know\u201d\u2026 stuff\u2026 since I cooked yesterday<\/strong> I didn\u2019t figure it was a big deal<\/strong> that I didn\u2019t fix supper today<\/strong> \u2013 being busy and all\u2026 We thought that maybe the \u201cHot Hawaiian from Dominos would be good , especially since we had a 50% off deal\u2026 but you had to order<\/strong> online\u2026 so we tried and tried and called them and told them we couldn\u2019t get to the completion of the order<\/strong> on line\u2026 it just kept stopping before you got it ordered\u2026 so we backed out and ordered from Pizza Hut\u2026 I wrote an email to Dominos about the failed process of their web site\u2026 oh well.<\/p>\n

Once dinner was done I noticed this\u2026<\/p>\n

Fantastic orange sky tonight\u2026 The things you like to see, great sunsets and great sunrises\u2026 although some people don\u2019t get up early enough for that last<\/strong> part\u2026 and many are too busy to notice the first part\u2026 <\/p>\n
