It was a slow start to the day<\/strong> today\u2026 thinking on it, it has gotten that way with a lot<\/strong> of days now\u2026 feels good to not be in a rush all the time.<\/p>\n

I got around and figured today would be a good day<\/strong> to get the two sets of LED<\/strong> lights I got for replacing the CFL\u2019s in the motorhome<\/strong> done.  I only got two sets as I was not sure they would work out but after installing , I will get the rest of them ordered and put in.  So after noon I went out and got the first set wired in.  I had previously fixed plug<\/strong> in ends on them so I could just put them in and if they didn\u2019t work take them out and plug<\/strong> the CFL\u2019s back in.  That little project<\/strong> entailed soldering the ends together and adding a short length of wire<\/strong> and then solder on the plug<\/strong> ends.  I should of gotten pictures of the initial process for getting them ready as it took about 35 to 40 minutes to do that part before I even got them out to the motorhome.  but again, so intent on the project<\/strong> I forget to document the progress.<\/p>\n

I did get pictures of the final installation of the last light.<\/p>\n

here I had to cut the white wire<\/strong> between the wall inlet and the board to put the plug<\/strong> on\u2026 I would only need to put the other end of the plug<\/strong> (that is dark blue here on the other end of the white wire<\/strong> to put it back to normal).  The red wire<\/strong> with the blue color on the end plugged into the switch back is the other side of the LED<\/strong> lights.  The black wire<\/strong> from the CFL\u2019s board is folded back out of the way with plug<\/strong> still on it so I could just unplug the red and plug<\/strong> the black if I had to.<\/p>\n

All wired tied and pulled back so the cover<\/strong> can go back on.<\/p>\n

Installed the white cover<\/strong> that hides the CFL<\/strong> transformer board and wiring\u2026 (well not all of it as now the LED\u2019s wires have to run out there..) but I put the normal reflective cover<\/strong> back on that hides the CFL<\/strong> bulbs anyway so they look stock.<\/p>\n

I was impressed with the amount of light they put out.  I just wish I could get \u201cwarm white\u201d led’s for this project<\/strong> in the same configuration and same price\u2026 everyone I looked for seems to be way more expensive?  In this instance the swap out cost<\/strong> me about the cost<\/strong> of 3 bulbs for the CFL\u2019s and use a lot<\/strong> less power\u2026 the best things is they won\u2019t get near as hot as that transformer board and the CFL<\/strong> bulbs did. <\/p>\n
