I know a lot of people<\/strong> think they have it bad with flies but as they say \u2013 You ain\u2019t seen nothing<\/strong> yet!  Here the flies can be so bad you can\u2019t hardly open your mouth without getting one.  I have not understood why they can get so thick here as this is a dry nothing<\/strong> place and there is not much for them to live on but they sure are thick twice a year<\/strong> for a month or more.  They are starting too early this year?  Today the cleaning people<\/strong> came by and cleaned the office at 8 AM<\/strong> \u2013 cleaned floor.  This picture<\/strong> was taken at 10:30am of those that had fallen in front<\/strong> of the desk from my whacking attempts. I am sure that near 50% never made it to the front<\/strong> and are on the other side<\/strong> or in the trash or ?<\/p>\n

I am not real good at \u201cwhacking\u201d them suckers but today \u2013 you didn\u2019t have to be good or accurate, just persistent.   We also have a series of \u201cmentally retarded\u201d flies here.  Their accuracy of landing and activity after is comical to say the least.  They many times can not land where they intend and run into things, you the wall the window<\/strong> the monitor etc.  When they do land they have to shake and stutter for several seconds to shake off the scare of \u201cfirst flight\u201d or that is what it appears they are recovering from.  – WD0AJG<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
