I was up before we arrived at the dock and got a few pictures of the boat coming in.   Parked next to a big sailing ship\/cruise ship<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Today we had a tour<\/strong> set<\/strong> up to, but when we got to the dock no one was waiting.  Once they showed up we found out that the water<\/strong> was not clear and we would not be able to see anything in the semi-sub so they had cancelled that part and offered to give us an island<\/strong> tour<\/strong> anyway and some of our money back.  We decided to go ahead and take the tour<\/strong> as it would go all the way around the island.  We boarded the bus<\/strong> and headed through the town and then on to the French capital<\/strong> of Marigot.  This was on the tour<\/strong> route<\/p>\n

Once in Marigot we were allowed an hour of shopping<\/strong> \u2013 we got a few items there then back on the bus<\/strong> for the remainder of the tour<\/strong> which went on the north side<\/strong> of the island<\/strong> then back into Philipsburg the capital<\/strong> of the Dutch side.  We got out and did some more shopping<\/strong> as the appears to be the main influence of this island.  We found a  few things and got a few pictures of the shopping<\/strong> area near the doc.<\/p>\n

On the French side this is the area – beach that only requires you “birthday suite” and a credit card”<\/p>\n

We were pretty drug out so we went back to the ship<\/strong> on the water-taxi and had a late lunch<\/strong> and a nap.<\/p>\n

We gathered up and went to dinner and had another really good meal with another show by the wait staff on the dinning room.<\/p>\n

After all this we set<\/strong> with the grand-son for a little while \u2013 rather he sat with us while he played a game and we tried to get out stuff packed to get off.  Amazing how you can get it all in when you come and can\u2019t get it in when you want to leave?<\/p>\n
