Well, spent some off time<\/strong> playing with the blog, searching for a plugin that did not need<\/strong> cURL that would work with some stock<\/strong> quotes. (See the Stock and Twits page).
\nGot some things working but like a lot of things, I had to play and play to find something that worked ok.
\nTried the GStock… looked good but did not give me a recent price… would link to the site and get it there but not on the side<\/strong> bar? guess it was cause<\/strong> I didn’t pay for it…
\nTried several others that did not say they needed cURL but alas they really did once you dug deep or read the whole of the installation… ? pulled them out..
\ntried a couple that just broke the blog totally? like it would not load the page<\/strong> any further once it hit the bad widget.
\nfinally settled on the Sanebull and typed in my stock<\/strong> watch list… mouse over and bam an update of that stock… (make<\/strong> sure you pull the mouse into the box or it will disappear)…well sometimes they don’t disappear? but eventually maybe. I may have adjusted the mouseover time<\/strong> too long?
\nAnd I stuck in an auto update stocktwits list… sure wish they had an option to just pull from my favorites list not all the twits… I need<\/strong> a limited interest. Maybe some one<\/strong> will get the hint and fix the stocktwits widget so you can specify the twits you want… the one<\/strong> I tried that has input, damn needs cURL and not going to do that… <\/p>\n
