Well, today was some what of a slow day<\/strong>. \u00a0I however had it in my mind to get one<\/strong> task done. \u00a0I had purchased a new monitor for my Dad’s computer<\/strong> in the hopes it would be bigger so he could see it better. \u00a0I took that over early this morning and set it up and did some small maintenance on his computer<\/strong> so the icons are bigger and the things he uses would be more accessible. \u00a0I did not find his problem<\/strong> of getting on line<\/strong>. \u00a0 Seems every time<\/strong> I get his wireless router in line<\/strong> it will lock up on him and he has to take it out. \u00a0that is Frustrating to him and to us as we also got him a digital picture frame and without the wireless it is useless. \u00a0That causes him to unplug it and put it on a shelf so any new pictures we send to it are not seen. \u00a0 I will have to fix that problem<\/strong> some how. \u00a0most likely get a new wireless router and also get a battery backup for the router and modem so power surges will not drop them off or cause them to go brain dead.<\/p>\n

I also spent some time<\/strong> playing on the computer<\/strong> and updating our two GPS<\/strong> units… I know, should have done that before we took our trip but you do not think of things that need updates or fixing until you find they have problems. \u00a0 Neither had a problem<\/strong> but it was time<\/strong> for updates. \u00a0We had a problem<\/strong> in following the GPS<\/strong> when it wanted to take us way out back to get to our last campground and I was sure it was wrong but followed it for a little ways before deciding, that just can’t be right<\/strong>. \u00a0There seems to be a lot of “wrong” data in the maps for those things. \u00a0Like right<\/strong> here at home – Garmin maps shows the road<\/strong> we live on to go on north and then back out to the county road<\/strong> about a half mile up. \u00a0That road<\/strong> was there, maybe 30 years ago but has been taken out for longer than anyone around here remembers.<\/p>\n

Oh, and one<\/strong> other thing<\/strong> – we went to an HOA start up meeting as we discussed the “legal” work done before we all agree on this HOA. \u00a0It has to be done as it is in the covenants of the development that it be done but most of us have just not wanted to jump off on it. \u00a0One more thing<\/strong> to pay into when you don’t really want to. \u00a0oh well, living life in the fast lane is expensive. \u00a0so get out of my way. \u00a0 – WD0AJG<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
