In response to the increasingly poor standard of operating practice being heard on the bands, particularly when working DX, the<a style=\"color: #2244bb;\" href=\"http:\/\/g4foc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">First Class CW Operators Club<\/a> formulated a draft\u00a0<strong>DX Code of Conduct<\/strong> that they are trying to publicize. You can follow the links on their website, but they&#8217;ve also created a <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>website<\/strong> at\u00a0<a style=\"color: #2244bb;\" href=\"http:\/\/dx-code.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/dx-code.org\/<\/a> that has a number of useful resources (as well as the <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>code<\/strong> itself, of course). I recommend that you visit their <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>website<\/strong> and click around to learn more.<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">DX Code of Conduct<\/span><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>I will listen, and listen, and then listen again before calling.<\/li>\n<li>I will only <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>call<\/strong> if I can copy the DX <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>station<\/strong> properly.<\/li>\n<li>I will not trust the cluster and will be sure of the DX station&#8217;s <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>call<\/strong> <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>sign<\/strong> before calling.<\/li>\n<li>I will not interfere with the DX <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>station<\/strong> nor anyone calling and will never tune up on the DX frequency or in the QSX slot.<\/li>\n<li>I will wait for the DX <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>station<\/strong> to end a <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>contact<\/strong> before I <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>call<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>I will always send my full <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>call<\/strong> <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>sign<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>I will <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>call<\/strong> and then listen for a reasonable interval.
