It is amazing how popular you can become once you put yourself out on the internet<\/strong>. Keep in mind this is a warning to all those on Blog, Facebook, Linkedin, and other forms or \u201cSocial\u201d interaction.\u00a0 I had been reading from some other Blogs that I follow that they were constantly under attack.\u00a0 Attack by means of false access to what ever little piece of the internet<\/strong> they might have or keep or use?\u00a0 I was not so naive to think that my little website and blog was being missed by all those SCUM types.\u00a0 I just was not aware of how much they were trying\u2026 I had been hacked last summer and that was a password issues on the main access to the \u201cbackend\u201d of my site.\u00a0 That has been improved\u2026 but am sure I need to swap out the difficult password on periodic time<\/strong> intervals\u2026 I have also change the passwords on my blogs and other access points as well to some that are \u2026 for lack of better description\u2026 random letters, characters, etc\u2026<\/p>\n

As a side note here, it would be well worth everyone’s time<\/strong> to invest in some quality password generators, keepers, encryption software, etc\u2026 the days of simple stuff are probably long gone\u2026 until we are all implanted with specific codes that only we our our eyes or fingers\u00a0 can pass, and even then I would guess<\/strong> hackers will find ways to figure out what those codes are and how to use<\/strong> them\u2026 anyway get a good password keeper and use<\/strong> it\u2026 and do not use<\/strong> the same password for multiple accounts, unless you want them hacked\u2026<\/p>\n

some weeks ago I put some extra levels or security<\/strong> on my simple blog site\u2026 it ID\u2019s those trying to gain access by IP<\/strong> address and if they fail 3 times they are shut out\u2026 I set that for 36 hours so maybe they will go away.\u00a0 I also get emails to the fact that some IP<\/strong> failed 3 times\u2026 and many of those I do a \u201cwhois\u201d search and find they are from some odd place but lately I have been getting a lot that list \u201cAMAZON\u201d as the IP<\/strong> owner\u2026 I guess<\/strong> amazon has a lot of IP\u2019s and sells or rents or ? what ever those IP\u2019s\u00a0 It is now interesting to see where they are from\u2026 before I permanently lock it out\u2026 Recently the emails of failed attempts have increased\u2026 for weeks I didn\u2019t get maybe one ever few days but this week it is 10 a day or more\u2026 so , I spent today adding even more levels of security<\/strong> to the simple website\u2026 more notices and more blocks and controls as well as other things that some of that security<\/strong> stuff does\u2026 Not sure it will do any better job of protection but at least now it will take the \u201cCRACKBOTS = CRACKPOTS\u201d more attempts to find the holes\u2026Anyway it was cold out, I didn\u2019t want to start something else, and it was interesting , for awhile.<\/p>\n

Todays activities were to meet with my advisor, make a trip to town for lunch with my lovely wife\u2026 pick up a few things and I failed to get one thing<\/strong> I wanted (simple fuses for a radio project) and then finish up that web stuff and fix dinner\u2026 tonight dinner\u2026 left over chicken tender grills and more of those easy Crispy Parmesan Potatoes on the grill\u2026<\/p>\n

Chicken tenders, wrapped in bacon, with hot pepper in the center\u2026 actually these are out of the freezer, and rewarmed but still great\u2026 I did put them on the grill<\/strong> for about 15 minutes to re-do the bacon to a proper crispy\u2026<\/p>\n

Then out to the shack for some radio time\u2026<\/p>\n
