Well what did we do this weekend\u2026 not much\u2026 went to a wresting match Friday night\u2026 we won that\u2026 went to a BB game Saturday \u2026 we lost that (really poor shooting show)\u2026 I played radio<\/strong> and worked on those log ideas posted before and then Sunday we went to an 89th birthday party\u2026 Sherries Uncle is 89 and they wanted to get the family<\/strong> together so why not have a party\u2026 His comment was \u201cThey don\u2019t think I will make 90 so they decided to have it this year\u201d\u2026 ok, you look at these pictures and tell me\u2026 I figure<\/strong> he may be around for quit awhile\u2026 <\/p>\n

Most of the immediate family\u2026 although his sister and brother were late or the family<\/strong> wanted cake? <\/p>\n

brother in middle, next right in dark read sister\u2026 I think they were asking \u201cwere you in a hurry or what? \u201c  <\/p>\n

His signature look\u2026 I first met him when I was in High School ( and not one even close to where they live).  I was in FFA and he was a VoAg instructor in a school in our district. I was at a district meeting with our officers and he had brought theirs along with his twin daughters who were , I think, running for district or state sweethearts\u2026 you can see them in the above pictures but you have to pick them out\u2026 Not sure why I remember all that but it was held in Covington, OK\u2026 about 1967 or 68\u2026 That was my first meeting of L.E.  of course I am sure he has no recollection of it and I have never brought it up as it was not a big deal, other than to me as an office of our FFA chapter\u2026 <\/p>\n

That was what we did for the weekend and today was a holiday so it was a bit slow too\u2026 I got the motor<\/strong> home fired up and ran for awhile\u2026need<\/strong> to exercise it once a month, even if I don\u2019t drive it\u2026 and I got a small radio<\/strong> project a bit closer to completion\u2026 parts mounted on a carry board\u2026 still need<\/strong> a stand and to complete the wiring for power\u2026 and we took the car<\/strong> in for some needed maintenance\u2026 ouch\u2026 needs a new headlight, fan motor<\/strong> is whining so figure<\/strong> replace it, about time for a tune-up so go on and get it done\u2026 change<\/strong> oil and filter, etc.\u2026 probably will need<\/strong> tires next oil change<\/strong> trip (about 5 months)\u2026 keeping an maintaining a car<\/strong> is expensive but better keep it up as to buying new\u2026<\/p>\n

Now I am waiting a chance to do some more radio\u2026 my first-est hobby\u2026 <\/p>\n
