Today was the drive home\u2026 we didn\u2019t get up real early but did get started before the sun<\/strong> came up..<\/p>\n

And this was after a stop<\/strong> at Mickey-D\u2019s for breakfast\u2026 I know not the best stuff but it was handy, easy and cheap\u2026 <\/p>\n

On our way out of the area we did stop<\/strong> at the \u201cwindmill farm\u201d\u2026 seems it is a private collection and the guy has a lot<\/strong> to look at.. someday we may have to stop<\/strong> by and have him explain them all\u2026 <\/p>\n

We did make one<\/strong> stop<\/strong> in Simla so Sherrie could get the lumbar pillows out\u2026 they do help..<\/p>\n

We stopped here but I think the Laundromat ahs been closed for a very long time?  <\/p>\n

We  zipped right<\/strong> along and the road was clear but I could see that it had been packed, snow<\/strong> wise and a lot<\/strong> of signs of people spun off in the median of the interstate\u2026  One other observation was that the temps in CSprings when we left were near 32deg\u2026 by the time<\/strong> we hit Burlington it was 14deg?  what’s up with that? But when we got home<\/strong> it was 39deg\u2026 much better\u2026<\/p>\n

oh and we had to take a detour in Burlington, wanted to check out the Kit Carson carousel<\/a>\u2026 but it is inside a museum that is closed\u2026 Sherrie said it used to be in the middle of town out in the open\u2026 not now\u2026  The streets there were packed and looked like they had a lot<\/strong> of snow<\/strong> or a lot<\/strong> of blowing snow?  in the past few days\u2026 for us the wind was blowing the other way today\u2026<\/p>\n

As we left Burlington we made one<\/strong> stop<\/strong> (for necessary purposes)\u2026 and attached to the little store\/gas<\/strong> station was a restaurant and they do advertise with some amount of truth\u2026<\/p>\n

We hustled on down the road\u2026 through Kansas with a stop<\/strong> in Hayes for lunch at Qdoba and a bit<\/strong> of gas<\/strong> to get me to Salina where it is about 25 cents cheaper  per gallon\u2026 stopped at the Sam’s in Salina and filled up\u2026 cheaper than at home\u2026 ? then on south into Oklahoma and watched the sun<\/strong> go down about 25 miles from home\u2026 we didn\u2019t stop<\/strong> a lot<\/strong> but seems it took us a bit<\/strong> more time<\/strong> and I was pushing 78 mph on interstate 70..? a few stops can sure kill the time\u2026 oh well\u2026 <\/p>\n

When we got home<\/strong> Miss Lilly the cat was right<\/strong> there and wanted in the house\u2026 having been shut out to the garage only for 5 or 6 days wore on here and she wanted some attention, better wet food, and to lay on the couch in the dog spots\u2026 so she did all evening\u2026 <\/p>\n

Things here are the same\u2026 got unpacked , rested a bit<\/strong> , played radio a bit<\/strong> and off to bed\u2026 tomorrow I start working on my receipts for taxes.. weed out the ones I don\u2019t need, put the others in a \u201ctax\u201d box for figuring later.. and start new files for 2015\u2026 oh boy such fun\u2026 <\/p>\n
