Well, My son says the weather men out here are wrong more than right\u2026 I now agree, as if I didn\u2019t know that from years past.  They predicted that we would get a \u201cTRACE\u201d of snow<\/strong> today.   From last nights viewing of the fireworks on Pikes Peak<\/a> by the AdAmAn Club<\/a> (at 9pm they shot off 5 big blast for the original frozen 5 who began this tradition ).  A group of hikers started Tuesday and spent the night on the mountain with wind chills near \u201341\u2026 duh?  much better for us  to watch than hike I think\u2026 Anyway we saw the fireworks as the mountain cleared in time for the blasts at 9Pm \u2026 really cool but not something I could get a picture of\u2026 http:\/\/pikespeak.us.com\/Events\/new-years-eve-fireworks.html<\/a>.  The midnight showing, if there was one, eluded me as I was asleep\u2026 damn long day<\/strong> yesterday\u2026 oh well\u2026 I got to see the 9PM preshow.   Anyway, I didn\u2019t give it much thought that it would cloud up and snow<\/strong> great big flakes\u2026 ? <\/p>\n

When we got up and around this morning it was socked in\u2026 all over the place<\/strong> socked in and about 10am or so it started to snow, those little tiny flakes\u2026 By Noon it was coming on down\u2026 smart people would have stayed in and kept warm\u2026 but we decided we need to get out and have a \u201csmothered burrito\u201d from Qdoba (they had a BOGO<\/strong> special, for New<\/strong> Years day)\u2026 being cheap more than smart we got out to get our BOGO<\/strong> and deliver lunch<\/strong> to Brooke, who was working her shift today\u2026 it was actually fun getting out.<\/p>\n

Going in to deliver and have lunch\u2026 The Grandson is a Colorado child so I guess getting out in the cold will be nothing new\u2026 <\/p>\n

Looking back and you can see that it was a bit<\/strong> more than a trace of snow<\/strong> that a recent car pulled out of\u2026 guessing he hadn\u2019t been there more than 30 to 45 minutes? <\/p>\n

It did lighten up and not much more (amount wise) fell the rest of the day<\/strong> but it stayed cloudy and kept at it all day\u2026 so after we made our trip in the height of the snow<\/strong> storm we got back to the house and settled in for the afternoon..,. well I coaxed Son to install his RO<\/strong> water<\/strong> machine\u2026 had a few leaks but hopefully we have it now all ready to start supplying clear, clean water<\/strong> with no chemicals in it\u2026 I like my RO<\/strong> water\u2026 we have had water<\/strong> machines sine back in the 80\u2019s so our kids are a bit<\/strong> spoiled\u2026 not a bad thing\u2026 So far it is a great New<\/strong> Year.. enjoying family and just being here\u2026 <\/p>\n
