Well today was a fun day\u2026 not for all though\u2026 My accomplishments were few but interesting. <\/p>\n

I had made an appointment for \u201cMY GRANDSONS\u201d cat Lilly, to see the Vet.  <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It was time<\/strong> for a yearly checkup and some shots since she likes to go outside they recommend a couple of shots for her.  She also gets the monthly dose of flea and Tick stuff but this is way more complicated.  You see she is not a \u201cstranger\u201d type cat\u2026 if strangers show up she is gone, hiding\u2026 She also does not care for the stranger to get close, pet, probe or otherwise contact her.  <\/p>\n

The appointment was for 9:30 and I got a few small things done before we packed her in her carrier and off we went.  She is not terribly fond of that thing<\/strong> but tolerates it fine enough\u2026 We get to the vets and get right in and I let her out of the carrier and she is ok with that, but has to check<\/strong> everything out\u2026 Smells funny in there to her I guess\u2026 After the check<\/strong> out she got back in the carrier and indicated it was time<\/strong> to go now\u2026.  About then in walks the assistant and notes on the chart that she had to be sedated last<\/strong> time.  I said yep, she doesn\u2019t like strangers\u2026 but we coax her out of the carrier and I am holding that is ok\u2026 but once the assistant attempts to put her hand on here she starts that low cat growl\u2026 So far no claws or hissing but as the assistant attempts to lift the tail\u2026the hissing starts\u2026 ok so much for that attempt\u2026 she leaves<\/strong> and the vet comes in to check\u2026 and it is decided after a few attempts at \u201cfriendly\u201d that didn\u2019t work to go ahead and sedate as the last<\/strong> time<\/strong> it was a squalling, clawing good time<\/strong> for them but not me\u2026The Vet leaves<\/strong> and comes back with the shots required  (3 of them) and Lilly gets the first sedative\u2026 and we let her find her own place to lay down and the lights go out\u2026 they are then able to take temps, the Christmas Goose<\/strong> \u2013 sample, and several other good looks and checks\u2026 teeth, claws (now that they are not in action) and decide she looks pretty healthy\u2026 well you could tell that from the non-friendly maneuvers earlier\u2026 so she gets her preventative shots and then the shot to undo the sedative\u2026 and I have to leave her there for observation until she is pretty much awake (some timer after lunch)\u2026 Exciting and I can assure you Lilly may like to eat birds,and would like to catch some, including a some geese that frequent our pond but as far as getting the Christmas Goose\u2026 that is not liked and she shows how much\u2026 <\/p>\n

After that excitement I made a trip<\/strong> to the bank and Atwood’s for some dog treats and some special cat treats as I am sure she needed some now\u2026 <\/p>\n

Today we went to lunch<\/strong> at McAlister’s and had the Tortilla Chicken soup and boy that stuff sure is good\u2026 a creamy soup not like most Chicken Tortilla but really good anyway\u2026 We also mailed off some packages and then I went back to pick up the poor feline\u2026 she was really groggy but ok\u2026 Got her home and let her out of the carrier and she spent much of the afternoon being very very listless and dis-oriented\u2026 those shots sure take the stuffing out of her.. <\/p>\n

During my trip<\/strong> to town I had also signed up for the OSU Wellness center so I can get back to walking\u2026 if the weather is going to be crappy and I don\u2019t like walking<\/strong> in the sleet, snow, drizzle, cold, etc.\u2026 then I better get inside to get my walking<\/strong> time<\/strong> in\u2026 I can also add in a little weights as I probably need to work on that as well\u2026 so tonight when Sherrie made her trip<\/strong> to the wellness for a training session I went and walked and I can truly say I walked 2 miles and it was all up hill\u2026 on the tread mill you can set the speed and inclination so I was at about 4mph and 8% grade.. at the end of 2 miles I could sure feel it\u2026 so what do we do after all that\u2026 go pick up a cheap pizza and spoil most of it\u2026 oh well\u2026 <\/p>\n

Tonight I did some more radio\u2026 worked on some programs changes for one of my radios and some reading on finances\u2026 I guess the market has now stepped into the Santa Clause Rally\u2026 since it has been up big the past few days\u2026 wonder how long this will last? <\/p>\n
