It has been a few days (weeks) since I posted last.  I have been real busy (ha ha)\u2026 To all my working friends this is what happens when you retire.  You end up with more things to do, more that you can do, and more that you can put off because you are retired\u2026 so lets get to the facts here\u2026<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t think I have done anything about me and what I since maybe homecoming?  like 2 weeks\u2026 ouch I should be ashamed to have gone this long.  <\/p>\n

I was in mourning the week after homecoming, cause we did so poorly.  It was also damn hot out there in the sun\u2026 we almost cooked.   That week I was pretty radio active and did some small house and yard repairs.  Had to re-work the sprinkler for the front as the program had died on the auto-valve\u2026 strange it did that\u2026 I replaced some front led post lights as one<\/strong> had burnt out ant the other was really weak\u2026 <\/p>\n

The new ones are shiny and bright\u2026 <\/p>\n

I also got BLACK-JACK in the Crack\u2026. <\/p>\n

Ran out before I got it all filled and now I have to wait for warmer weather\u2026 oh well\u2026 <\/p>\n

I went to a Hamfest Nov 1\u2026 sold a bunch of my junk, by the box\u2026 it was actually give away a bunch of it but so what, I did trade for a part that I could use<\/strong> in replacement for a big packer box nearly full of old stuff I had not looked at in 3 or 5 years\u2026 I have another big black box and I am going<\/strong> through my stuff and putting it in the box to sell as the first opportunity next year\u2026 slowly but surely I am weeding out some stuff\u2026 but soon as I do, I go get something new\u2026 picked up a used antennas that I will use<\/strong> this winter\u2026 I hope\u2026 it is supposed to be \u201cnoise\u201d reducing for the low bands..,  Speaking of that I have done fairly well\u2026 I am down to needing just 6 contacts on two bands to finish up my quest for 9 Band Worked all States\u2026 that is making contact with a ham via radio, in all 50 states on 9 different operational bands\u2026 means I have to make a total of 450 contacts.  Well in order to get those special 450 you almost have to work 4500 or more\u2026 I have been lucky in a lot of cases and either found the right contact or tracked them down and sent them an email to watch for me at specific times\u2026 anyway I have just 6 more that I need<\/strong> confirmed to finish up the 9BWAS and I think I will apply for the awards this time\u2026 they are certificates and by using LOTW I get auto confirmation (but it makes it harder as not all hams use<\/strong> LOTW)\u2026 oh well\u2026 <\/p>\n

During the week I made several runs to Wal-Mart and other places and the BIRDS<\/strong> knew it was coming\u2026 the cold\u2026 they were gathering <\/p>\n

You sure don\u2019t want to park your car near the trees at Wal-Mart\u2026 <\/p>\n

We had a big moon one<\/strong> night and I captured a few pictures of it..<\/p>\n

no those are not birds in the tree, just the remaining leaves of that tree\u2026 <\/p>\n

Next on my list of things was to go to Dallas for birthday weekend\u2026 Luke had his birthday party on the weekend<\/strong> even though his day was earlier in the week and Friday was Sherrie\u2019s birthday\u2026 and we celebrated by going<\/strong> out to eat\u2026 in Dallas\u2026 at \u2026\u2026\u2026.. Fuzzy\u2019s Taco\u2019s\u2026 she could have had anything she wanted but that was it for lunch\u2026 <\/p>\n

Didn\u2019t get the before picture, I was hungry, but that is what I had and they all helped finish it off\u2026 ha!<\/p>\n

This was the birthday boy\u2026 he has a way with faces when he wants something and wants it now\u2026<\/p>\n

He was happy most of the time\u2026 but he was hungry and they were not moving fast enough\u2026 <\/p>\n

When things are good\u2026 <\/p>\n

He and his DAD working with the hat\u2026 think Dad was watching a FB game\u2026 <\/p>\n

And of course Grandma doing what she does best\u2026 <\/p>\n

We have also made one<\/strong> Girls exhibition game\u2026 I ended up getting new seats for the WBB games this year\u2026 actually have two sets this year<\/strong> both real good seats so if someone likes to watch the women play BB, let me know\u2026 <\/p>\n

Since we made it to Dallas we missed the first Men’s and second Women’s games but we have a big weekend<\/strong> planned this weekend\u2026 the BB<\/strong> games will be ok.  2 on Friday and 2 on Sunday\u2026 but the Saturday Football game\u2026 may not be so much fun\u2026 it is supposed to be near freezing, and possible snow\u2026 geez we burn up one<\/strong> game<\/strong> and the next we freeze our buts to the seats\u2026   We need<\/strong> to win this one<\/strong> because the next two are against a top 10 and a just out of the top 25 team\u2026 <\/p>\n

So that is the catch up here\u2026 trying to survive the damn cold\u2026 they say it got to 30 but the windchill here was in the 20\u2019s\u2026 although when our kids from up north called they said it got all the way up to 5 today up there\u2026 I need<\/strong> to be much further south looking for 70 degrees\u2026 oh well, next year, maybe\u2026 <\/p>\n
