Tomorrow will put me at the Half-way point (by time<\/strong> measure) of this work rotation.   Some times that is good as it really is half<\/strong> way but some times it is bad because I have spent half<\/strong> my time<\/strong> getting less than half<\/strong> of the work I need to do done.  Right now I am not sure, but I am not on the schedule I had put on myself when I got here and looked over the things I had to get done\u2026 on the other hand<\/strong> I may have over estimated some projects and under estimated others? No matter, I think I will get it all done.  I usually do but sometimes some things just have to slide.<\/p>\n

Being half<\/strong> way is a great thing, unless your on a plane<\/strong> flight home\u2026 half<\/strong> way there is no-where.  I think this could be called nowhere except for the fact that it is sometimes worse than nowhere.  Here we know where we are and we know it takes a long time<\/strong> to get to somewhere \u2013 somewhere that we can live a more normal existence.<\/p>\n

Half-way through a test is nowhere because, even if you have done correct for that entire half<\/strong> \u2013 you still fail.<\/p>\n

Half-way through a movie is ok, cause<\/strong> now days you just just pause the DVR<\/strong> and come back later and finish.<\/p>\n

Today was another \u201chalf-way\u201d thing<\/strong>.  I have two big out days where the students have to do certain things we have planned and they usually take all day<\/strong> and are draining for me.  I accomplished the first one<\/strong> and have one<\/strong> more on my last<\/strong> day<\/strong> here.  This one<\/strong> went pretty good, but there is no telling how the next will conclude.  I will also have to have several things done well before that day, because nothing will happen during that day<\/strong> other than the student activity, and my final packing to get out.<\/p>\n

So, half-way depends on the start and end and what you intend to get out of it \u2013 some half-ways are ok, some are \u201cno-where\u201d.  Tomorrow will be a good half-way because I won’t have to do the past two weeks over.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
