Got my early morning walk in\u2026 <\/p>\n

\"1-SAM_1744\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I know it looks weird at first but was the best angle to actually get the web\u2026 Seems the spiders are pretty busy at night\u2026 put it up and take it down daily \u2026 lot of work goes into one<\/strong> of those and it was plenty big\u2026 guessing about 2 to 3 ft. tall here\u2026 <\/p>\n

The walk start was pretty much in the fog..<\/p>\n

not extremely thick but hey it is August 1st?  looks more like October?  and the temps were plenty cool enough for a walk\u2026 could be cooler but for August\u2026 liking the 60\u2019s for a start\u2026 <\/p>\n

Got back and loaded up some more STUFF to haul off and donate\u2026 had some old suitcases we never use, and some other stuff from the shop that needs to go\u2026 got back from unloading all that and put in a little work on the power controller project\u2026 got a few parts soldered into the board\u2026 at this rate\u2026 will have them done by late next year\u2026 ha!. <\/p>\n

I got ready to head<\/strong> in for lunch<\/strong> and found another humming bird in the garage\u2026 I even had the door<\/strong> down some but not closed and this one<\/strong> slipped in at the upper crack?  they fly head<\/strong> up and cant see an opening that is below them so they buzz around at the ceiling till they give out and land then it is off again\u2026 till I catch<\/strong> them and get them out or ? This one<\/strong> I caught\u2026 I had put together a minnow net and extension handle several years ago and have gotten to the point I can catch<\/strong> them but it takes awhile and usually a few dizzy spins in the garage looking up to get it done\u2026 sorry too busy for pictures and too dizzy\u2026 anyway got that one<\/strong> out\u2026 that makes 3 this past week\u2026 the door<\/strong> needs to stay down for another month or more\u2026 They fight over the two feeders we have , one<\/strong> on the front of the house and one<\/strong> on the back and they are buzzing around the house between them and end up turning that last<\/strong> corner too sharp and in they come\u2026 a few weeks ago I was lamenting that they had all moved on north early on since I had not seen them much in July but the last<\/strong> week they are all back and draining the feeders pretty fast\u2026 so there are more than I had figures out there\u2026 <\/p>\n

Got in for lunch<\/strong> a bit late because once I got the hummer out I noticed the jeep antennas was still loose\u2026 either I didn\u2019t get a lock<\/strong> washer or they are supposed to put thread lock<\/strong> on it or something anyway my radio antennas keeps working loose\u2026 thought all the fancy odd weave on the out side would automatically keep it tight but seems it goes the other way\u2026 poor design?  I went into the shop, pulled a lock<\/strong> washer out of the washer container and put it on the antenna.  Now to see if it h olds any better? <\/p>\n

Nice to have a really good selection of washers and nuts to dig through at times\u2026 but wonder how much money I have wasted in that collections that gets little use? Another complaint that most places<\/strong> now make you buy 3 if you need one\u2026 look at 9 volt batteries or hardware packages\u2026 you can get it in singles but pay the double price\u2026 so sometimes it is cheaper to get a package over the singles?  Just troubling that it works that way\u2026 <\/p>\n

Once back from lunch<\/strong> it was time<\/strong> to get on another small project that I had been putting off for weeks\u2026 I needed to do the \u201cweed-eating\u201d before the edges crowded in on us\u2026 I got most of it knocked down\u2026 have some on the back of the dam that is too steep to work with the wheeled trimmer and may be too big and too steep for the hand held but will get to it eventually\u2026 <\/p>\n

It truly is too steep for the mower\u2026 I know the picture looks like you could just drive off but get up there and it is a 45 or greater angle down\u2026 and I don\u2019t have seat belts or a roll bar on my mower so we mow the edges and angles and hope to get the rest , \u201cSomeday\u201d\u2026 <\/p>\n

Got all this knocked out and the area around the blackberry bushes and a bunch of other places\u2026 4 hours worth and I was pooped at the end\u2026 came in and took a short nap<\/strong> when I sat down in the chair\u2026 luckily it was dog and cat feeding time<\/strong> so my nap<\/strong> was about 15 minutes\u2026 ha! they seemed to be noticing I was not moving toward the feed quick enough so they all came to visit\u2026 <\/p>\n

After supper I spent a little time<\/strong> listening on the radio for some of those needed contacts but heard none so gave up and came in for a shower\u2026 probably will go back out and check it again as tonight will be a good night due to  recent sun spot activity\u2026 well good on the very low band and horrible on the upper but I need some on 80 meters so will be looking there for the missing\u2026 <\/p>\n
