Not much to tell other than it got hot and in a hurry.  From 70\u2019s last week to upper 90\u2019s this week with heat<\/strong> index numbers at 107!\u2026 ouch\u2026 I played radio a lot yesterday and was testing the new antenna config.  It worked great in the morning<\/strong> but the bands went strange in the afternoon<\/strong> and then today the bands were so bad I didn\u2019t even try.  I did cook dinner<\/strong> last night\u2026<\/p>\n

I marinated chicken breasts (over night) in a Spice and Brandy marinade I found at Walmart\u2026 pretty good stuff\u2026 and I baked a couple of potatoes and we had fresh tomatoes and pepper\u2026 just right<\/strong> for dinner<\/strong> and had one<\/strong> breast for later and one<\/strong> to freeze in the food saver vacuum bag for way later\u2026 <\/p>\n

Today I got out and did my 3 mile walk\u2026 several other people out this morning.  Guess they all know it will get hot.  It wasn\u2019t bad at 7am but was getting up there by 9\u2026 I got back had some juice and sat on the back deck for awhile before jumping on my coax bury job\/edger work\u2026<\/p>\n

That is just a part of the plant collection as there is about the much behind me in the shaded area\u2026 <\/p>\n

I did the edging first on the drive and sidewalk\u2026 got all that done then moved to the back to edge in a line for the coax to lay in so I wouldn\u2019t end up mowing it at some point\u2026 still had to use<\/strong> the shovel in spots but got it laid in ok\u2026<\/p>\n

I did notice that I have several Mushrooms coming up in spots around the yard\u2026 all that rain has kicked them off\u2026 I quit to make lunch in town\u2026 nothing exciting there and on the way home I stopped at the local walmart to get some more beer\u2026 can\u2019t work in this heat<\/strong> with out a few beers?  and as I was leaving I saw something you don\u2019t see too often\u2026<\/p>\n

Look to the right\u2026 a tractor parked in the employee area?  I think it is the employee area but could be ? not real sure\u2026 if they had to drive this to work then I hope he has a job afterward to pay for the fuel\u2026 or maybe it is the only running means of transportation? at least it has a cab and I must assume air conditioning, but maybe not? <\/p>\n

I cooked dinner<\/strong> again tonight\u2026 easier to use<\/strong> the grill outside than heat<\/strong> up the house\u2026 so tonight\u2026<\/p>\n

Grilled squash (seasoned) and grilled burger patty\u2026 oh and fresh tomatoes too\u2026 After dinner???? fresh blackberries from the back yard<\/strong> and ice cream\u2026 can\u2019t beat that\u2026  <\/p>\n

So that is the exciting stuff here\u2026 I need<\/strong> to get out and do some pictures but have several yard<\/strong> projects that I need<\/strong> to work on as well\u2026 not sure if I will dig up Iris bulbs or mix concrete for the drain ditch\u2026 of course it will be a morning<\/strong> job and rest up in the afternoon<\/strong> as it will be too hot to work\u2026 <\/p>\n
