Well as an update, due to chastising by SIL I broke over (although I had planned on Thursday as the day anyway if it wasn\u2019t improving) and went to Dr\u2026 He didn\u2019t even check for infection\u2026 assumed that it was present but he focused on the allergy reaction I was having\u2026 I knew my eyes were black\/red and itchy and looked horrible but figured it was the cold , Dr said I needed to get a fix on the allergy to get a fix on the cold as both together were keeping it at an even\u2026 BAD\u2026 So I got 2 shots and a bottle of pills\u2026 shots for allergy and a boost on the infection and pills<\/strong> for the longer term work on the later\u2026 I guess\u2026 but now I fell a lot<\/strong> better although I am still drowning in\u2026 mucus (SNOT)\u2026<\/p>\n

I was waiting at the Dr. office\u2026 I guess<\/strong> this is the new look?  no need to hide the bra straps anymore\u2026 cause the strapless probably won\u2019t bind things up enough?  <\/p>\n

Now that is one<\/strong> damn old yucca blooming.<\/p>\n

Friday we got out early\u2026 started the run<\/strong> to CSprings and I wondered if I could drive it all\u2026 I did\u2026 but when we got there\u2026 I was pretty down on energy\u2026 but they had to make<\/strong> it to the Race Fan fair in downtown\u2026 you see this weekend is the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb<\/a> (also here)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

So we got downtown, and walked the area\u2026 looked at some of the cars\u2026<\/p>\n

OK, this is because all the local and some not so local fire departments were having a chili cook-off\u2026 I found several had green chili so I got some at this one\u2026 now that cleaned out my sinus for awhile\u2026 burned the lips, gums and a few other spots\u2026 but sure was good\u2026 glad I got it before Clinger showed up..<\/p>\n

That could make<\/strong> you loose your appetite.. walking further there were a lot<\/strong> of new cars and fixed up cars and \u2026 this.<\/p>\n

Guess I was unaware they were still making the pickup version (Brute)\u2026 looked pretty cool till\u2026 <\/p>\n

We finished up the fair and went out to Fazolies\u2026<\/p>\n

Saturday morning<\/strong> we made a run<\/strong> to a diner\u2026 close to the house the kids are trying to buy\u2026 caught this sign in the diner\u2026<\/p>\n

Well, you know I was not in the mood for a chew at that point\u2026<\/p>\n

The kids loaded up and headed up the mountain to get their spot as it will all be closed down at 3am for the race to run<\/strong> from ? daylight till 3pm?  So they camped out on the mountain for the night was Sherrie and I were dog sitting\u2026 I made a run<\/strong> to the Subway (in a local Loaf and Jug)\u2026 for a sandwich at dinner\u2026 needed the camera but left it at home\u2026 the L&J sells scorpion suckers\u2026 at the front counter\u2026 another one<\/strong> of those things I was not hungry for\u2026<\/p>\n

Sunday morning<\/strong> we got a biscuit and made a tour of some of the old place we remembered\u2026 up and down Academy (which to use used to be the eastern side of town\u2026 now pretty much middle).  out to the airbase and airport\u2026 had never seen them\u2026 and back to the house to Let the Dogs Out\u2026  The kids got in a bit<\/strong> before dark and we loaded up to go to the kids favorite burger place\u2026 DIL<\/strong> only got a portion of this on my phone camera sorry it is a bad picture but have to put it in\u2026<\/p>\n

yep\u2026 the band-aid is a bit<\/strong> small and stretched to the max\u2026 the tutu on the top of the shorts was a bit<\/strong> extravagant?  but it all shows the tattoo and is strapless\u2026 <\/p>\n

Monday morning<\/strong> it was up early, DIL<\/strong> had to get to work by 7 and we needed to get home\u2026 loaded up the \u201cdogs\u201d (we have two now)\u2026 and started home\u2026 nothing eventful, didn\u2019t take pictures, until Hays at the rest stop we made\u2026<\/p>\n
